The beach of Kata
Kata Beach is a beautiful bay of white sand and a clear sea, with palm trees that offer shade. The beach of Kata is divided into two distinct parts: Kata Yai, the most important, and Kata Noi, located further south. These beautiful beaches have seen the development of new tourist facilities: high-end resorts, restaurants, bars, shops and massage parlours. There are fewer and fewer modest hotels, they have been bought, transformed, furnished, and prices have increased significantly. For lunch, a good option is to enjoy the buffets offered by the hotels. In the evening, street stalls offer cheap Thai cuisine.

Good beach but not something special
Overall a good beach comparing to Patong beach but not something so extraordinary. It is clean with clean waters but still very crowded with many annoying people trying to sell you everything you can imagine ofcourse in bigger prices than the shops 100 meters further on the city. Also very crowded all the day. An advise don't even think to take taxi to come here from Patong or elsewhere on the area of Phuket since the smallest fare is 20 euro for 4 km.
