  3. 4.5 Monkey Hill (1.145 reviews)
    - Incredible night experience
Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Monkey Hill image
I live in Phuket, and my go-to-spot for some relaxation is the Monkey Hill. The view, the nature and the calmness puts my mind at ease every single time. Altough you won't see any monkeys during the night, the view is in my opinion totally worth the travel! During a clear night, you can see the mountain tops over the horizon, the moving traffic in the far distance and the wonderfull colors of the city. I strongly recommend to go with either car or motorbike to the viewpoint if you go during night as there are A LOT of stray dogs on the road and it is not well lighted. At some points of the road to the view point, you will have to drive with no lighting at all, except from your vehicle. See more..

  7. 4.5 Elephant Family Phuket (99 reviews)
    - Family Day with the Elephants
Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Elephant Family Phuket image
We decided on this Elephant Park as it offered a shorter trip rather then the full morning program. It was a fantastic few hours. We were a little terrified at the first section when we were feeding the elephants. We were backed into a corner and it felt a little intimidating with no where to go and 4 beautiful but enormous elephants bearing down on us. However they were really gentle and well behaved. You can tell they put the elephants through their paces with several tours a day and only 4 elephants on show. However, once the elephants get to the showers and mud bath you can tell this is their favourite part as they start to relax and really enjoy all the attention. They seem well looked after and happy, especially the two cheeky "twins" and their little brother! Very playful and they certainly love to swim. We thoroughly enjoyed it. See more..

This was a very unique experience! It is very nice to see how the rescued old ladies is being well treated in this place. The guide is such a kind guy that explains everything very well. Each elephant has a caretaker and they are all kind and fun. You can see how the elephants like and listen to them. Each of the 4 “girls” have different personalities. You can feed them, mud bath them, walk them to the lake and rinse them. You do it only if you want with no pressure. You can interact and touch them, and the caretakers will guide you the best way. I really loved this unique experience. Oh, they serve you cold water and fruits! See more..

  11. 4.0 Elephant Sanctuary Kathu Phuket (52 reviews)
    - Solid experience and worth the price!
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Elephant Sanctuary Kathu Phuket image
What a wonderful experience. Private and intimate event (normally only allows 10 people per appointment, but we were the only 2). The park was easy to get to and offered free transportation. Fairly priced, and the experience included an awesome cooking class with delicious pad Thai. So let’s talk about the elephants. First, you always get worried about maltreatment or issues with these types of parks. Not here. The two elephants were rescued, the park doesn’t allow riding on the elephants, the food is grown on property to ensure quality, and the washing experience was clearly the elephants (and our) favorite part. The tour was educational, the guides spoke English well, and the place was LGBT friendly. They even took our phones and cameras to help out with picture taking! All together - a solid experience to experience these amazing animals, and really understand the allure of elephants. See more..
