Go for the Big C Extra and Wok-In
This review is for the Big C Extra within Jungceylon since that is the only place open at the moment. Lots of construction happening to re-open this mall, but only a handful of shops, the Big C Extra, and a night market are currently open at the moment. We go to the Big C often because it’s very convenient and well stocked. We also really like the Wok-In eatery there and have gone there for lunch several times! The people working there are extremely nice and the food is very good! We love the butter pea flower & lime drink and all the meals we have eaten have been fantastic! Hopefully by the next time we visit the mall will have more places open to experience.

Modern shopping centre in 2nd Road
Modern style shopping centre in 2nd Road near Bangla Road. Always is well presented with themes on display such as Chinese New Year and Valentines Day. The shops here are higher end than market stalls. Plenty of European type takeaway food place, along with Irish Times pub, Asian restaurants. Good air conditioning in buildings makes for a pleasant break from the heat. Numerous Thai bank ATMs are present by going down the large stairs outside the front entrance. Can get tourist items here but you will pay a premium price, can get cheaper at the many stalls around the place by bartering. Rule of thumb is you should get at least a third off at the outside shops by bartering and potentially half off. If you are told outright you are getting Thai price don’t be fooled, shop around and barter “respectfully“ and you will be a winner.
