Lake Tolire

1 years ago I visited the city of Ternate. and I went to one of the most famous tourist spots "Lake Tolire". Lake Tolire is a very unique lake with a distinctive lake color and holds many legends ... This lake is located at the foot of Mount Gamalama, the highest volcano in North Maluku. tourist attractions managed by local residents. The view on the lake is very good, the price of admission is also very affordable.

    Good view, easy access
If we use a vehicle we don't need to walk far to reach the spot. They sell drinks like coconut and food like banana chips (local cuisine, recommended to try) and the price is within reach for everyone. It's a really good place to sit and enjoy the view, not to swim or explore

How Did The Crocodiles Get In?
Lake Tolire Besar is certainly worth a look. Situated on the opposite side of the island from the sprawling provincial city of Kota Ternate, it has been spared the ravages of over-development. This is a nice relaxing place where you wander around the crater rim and peer down in the greenish lake. There are a couple of warungs selling coconuts and noodles but this is not the tacky tourist circus which you will find elsewhere in Indonesia. Indeed, in this heat, young coconut milk might be just the thing. The oddest thing about this crater lake is that there are crocodiles inside the lake. The crater walls are so steep that you wonder how they ever made it in there. You can also see water birds and dense vegetation inside the crater rim. This is much better than the other lake on Ternate (though the other one is free of crocs.)
