Bamboo Island, Krabi Province, Thailand

Don’t go first in the morning!!
We took a boat trip to phi phi islands and on our way back we stopped on the bamboo island to relax. Like our tour guide said, most of the tours go to bamboo island in the morning and it’s packed of tourists. When we went in the afternoon, yes there were people but not so much it would have bothered in any way! The water is stunning clear and the beach is wide full of white clean sand. For smokers and alcoholic drinkers, this is a national park area, meaning please don’t litter. Alcohol is not allowed in the island (what I understood) and smoking on the beach is not allowed. However!! There are marked smoking spots and they are nicely located so the sun won’t be burning you. It’s worth an experience!

The sand there is not as it looks like on the pictures :))
We had a group tour and this was one of the last attractions. The water is so warm, but the sand was not as I imagined. It was coral sand, which is not so tiny and pleasant as white sand, but still, I recommend you to visit this place. We also shot the video that showed what else you can find on this island, and if you in general interested to see the main attractions in Phi Phi but still doubting or choosing where to go first, then type the title on YouTube: "You better learn THIS before going to Phi Phi Island Tour" We made a detailed guide with maps and locations for snorkeling, describing where are the main attractions, which boat is better to choose and which places don't wort your time.

Super Crowded and rocky
The water at Bamboo is beautiful and crystal clear like other islands nearby and they have bathrooms and a place to get food which was nice but by noon, the beach was busy and by 2pm, so packed it wasn’t relaxing at all. It’s very hot mid-day and the sand is rough and course and the beach is super rocky with pretty strong waves so our 2yr old really couldn’t okay at all and I couldn’t go far in the water due to the jagged rocks. So many other islands are better but it’s still gorgeous, just ask to go early in the day. They need to limit the number of tourists and boats or schedule more in the morning.
