City forest within busy city
We enjoyed morning strolling around Bogor Botanical Garden. Fauwzi, our golf car driver and guide, were explaining many things about the unique side of this mangficent botanical garden. For examples: we visited Taman Meksiko which has a collection of dry climate plant species arranged to resemble their natural habitat and become an exotic park because they are located in Bogor which is known as the city of rain. This park has a rich collection of more than 100 species, such as: agave, yucca, cactus and other succulent plants. Most of the collection comes from Central and South America, including Mexico. We passed Astrid Boulevard with dammar tree - Agathis dammara along the boulevard, enoyed a cup of cappucino in the Grand Cafe with it's huge lawn and giant waterlilly - Victoriaamazonica at the pond nearby. We visted also the orchid green house with excotic collection. Finally, we finished our morning tour at the pond with pink lotus - Nymphaea rubra at back yard of Bogor Palace.

FUN DAY
The place is big and good to do exercise specially jogging. However, the scenery is not that amazing. Plants are dried and not well maintain. The entrance fee is not worth to pay specially if you are "bule" means foreigner. It is good to visit if you are staying around Bogor or Sentul but if you are coming from Jakarta or Tangerang I will not suggest to visit this place. It's not worth it to travel for an hour for the scenery. We had lots of fun because I am with my friends and we just make all hilarious things while walking under the sun! Making jokes and some picture moments funny ideas. Well, travelling is about enjoying and see another perspective. So it still memorable for me.
