Great ride!!

We have ridden with many stables in Hawaii and Jim's operation on Kauai was top notch. My wife has owned horses for 40+ years and has a keen eye for quality. CJM's horses are very well kept and the staff was helpful in matching up each rider to the appropriate horse based on their riding experience and other needs. The ride along Mahaulepu Beach was beautiful and the varied terrain was exciting to see. Our guide was informative, patient, watchful, and very friendly. We spoke at length with the stable owner Jim who was charming, pleasant, and funny and it was clear that the quality of the operation started at the top! We would highly recommend CJM to couples and families of all riding experiences to have a wonderful few hours on horseback in Kauai!!

Probably the best horse riding experience ever!
This reviews is long overdue. I went to Kauai with my husband for our honeymoon. I absolutely love animals and could not possibly have a better experience…besides just stay there the whole day. Lol. The staff is very friendly & helpful with riders of all-to no experience. I’ve only gone horse back riding once before 10 year prior also in Kauai at a different stable. But CJM was more than amazing. We did the group ride along the beach. Our guide was so awesome! He really took his time to teach us about the history and the land we were riding through. He really helped me understand how to properly ride & control the speed & direction of the horse. Since I had little experience I rode Willy Nelson. He was just lovely. I honestly can go on all day about the beautiful magical experience I felt at CJM stables. If you are a animal lover or have any interest in going on a horseback ride I highly recommend CJM stables. I plan to go back any & every time I go yo Kauai!

Beautiful views and wonderful horses
Fantastic views on a peaceful horse ride. I wouldn't recommend this tour to people with little to no riding experience though (and definitely put on the supplied riding helmet), as I found the instruction a bit lighter on the details than on similar trips elsewhere. It was also a bit less organized, with horses changing place in formation, walking side by side, taking slightly different routes, etc with only a single tour guide to watch over the group, which is great for folks looking for a bit more freedom on the ride, but might be a bit stressful for people totally new to horse riding. Most horses were very well behaved and reacted well to both commands and events on the trail (encounters with cattle, river crossings, etc).
