Why not visit the butterfly house when on Bornholm? Maybe a bit in the expensive end of attractions, but still worth a visit. Outside is also a lovely garden perfect for picnics and with animals for the smaller children to enjoy, they can visit rabbits for example. See more..
This is a really nice place and the few staff/people being here are really doing a great job – they were very engaged, informative and seemed knowledgeable... there were a great ammo show including firing of a canon :o) But even though visiting this center in the pick season (1st week of August) we (2 adults and 2 boys aged 8 and 10) missed information, more live interactions and more activities… I think I had expected more... atmosphere ...maybe some music and “gøgl” (entertainment)… it seemed that more staff was needed as some activities (e.g. the archery course, kitchen and towns were closed/empty). We did participate in a guided tour at the Hammershus (arranged by “Bornholms Middelaldercenter”) which is very much recommended! Louise was a great narrator and with her stories she captured us all – even the small kids – the history was made very interesting and present! Thanks, Louise!
