    The Lilla Holmen is just the cutest little island. At least two small bridges goes to the island. There are nice seating areas and a nice beach. There are animals too; bunnies and birds. The atmosphere was, at least during my visit, very peaceful and relaxing (not so many people around). A hike path starts from Lilla Holmen and runs to the southern part of Marianhamina and then goes to the west side of the island where is partly wooden walkways by the shore. It is a lovely route and part of the Mariehamn Runt. See more..
