Cool antique/curio shop. Always something new, good rotation. I have picked up quite a few items there. Sticker price can be rough at times but if you want it you'll have to get over that part of it. This Memorial honors the 191 young soldiers from Worcester County who lost their lives in the Korean War. The small plaza contains a life size bronze statue of a U.S. soldier with a Korean child, many flagpoles, educational signs, and a "Walkway of Honor", which includes memorial bricks, inscribed with the names of Massachusetts soldiers who lost their lives in more recent conflicts. A black granite wall contains the names of those who died as a result of the Korean War. Granite benches encircle the flags. Monuments, Memorials and Landmarks are high on our list of places to visit. This Memorial is modest compared to many others, yet it is just as meaningful. We have passed this park many, many times when we were in Worcester, but this was the first time that we drove in. Being from the desert, we were completely overcome by all the bright green shrubbery, and the huge trees. How lovely! Maybe on the weekend, it is crowded, but today (Thursday 6/25), there were not that many people, so we could drive slowly, and absorb it all. We saw many nicely placed picnic tables, we saw ponds, we visited the beautiful golf course, we saw walking paths, and biking trails. The very peaceful Vietnam Veterans Memorial is there. A small farm is on the grounds, as well as a children's playground, play fields, and a skateboarding area. Everything looked well maintained and cared for. So lucky for a City to have such a lovely park. See more..

Station itself is lovely, both from outside and inside. The interior mostly on stone is wonderful. Beautiful chandeliers give a nostalgic atmosphere. Elm Park is a sweet little public park (I believe oldest in the country) that is perfect for all ages. Nice place to walk, push a stroller, or eat lunch on a bench. Nice little playground that appears to be well used (my children are now grown). The park has an art installation during the year and several other events and the very shallow pond is used for ice skating. Parking is plentiful and I have always felt very safe in the area (the park is open, no scary, hidden areas). It's a beautiful waterfall but only after there has been lots of rain, especially when the Spring snow melts. If it hasn't rained you'll probably see nothing but a trickle coming down the cascade. But the cascade is not on Cascade Street (the map is wrong). You have to go up one more street to Cataract Street. Go down just past last house on the left and you enter the park. Cascade is about 1/4 mile further on the left. There's a bridge over the cascade stream. Watch out if you go further on the road past the bridge, there is a drop in the road, probably 4-6 inches. Great little ballpark in the Center of Worcester.The seats are set up really nice with great views of the field, we sat behind home plate. It looks like the park is designed very well with keeping in mind different stand up eating and seating areas. As with all Ball parks these days, it is very pricey to eat and drink. The pizza inside the park at $10 a slice was just average, and the draft beers were cold but very pricey. All in all it was nice to be in this new park. By far the best bargain was the Coney Island hot dogs at $4!! Nice job with that!!!Some thing to keep in mind is the gates don’t open until very close to game time. For example a 630 game, gate D didn’t open till 545. There is a local bar across the street, and several down the street, but we were surprised you couldn’t get in sooner See more..
