Sweet little park in the middle of the city
Elm Park is a sweet little public park (I believe oldest in the country) that is perfect for all ages. Nice place to walk, push a stroller, or eat lunch on a bench. Nice little playground that appears to be well used (my children are now grown). The park has an art installation during the year and several other events and the very shallow pond is used for ice skating. Parking is plentiful and I have always felt very safe in the area (the park is open, no scary, hidden areas). Kept clean by the city; one of the FEW gems in Worcester (Worcester Art Musuem is amazing).

great daytime place
Great daytime place ...at night you are likely to see gangs and pit bulls ... during the day a nice family place ... although I wouldn't pet the dogs without asking and being real sure ... to recap ...day time ...I would leave my daughter there and run across the street to Price Chopper ... at night I wouldn't feel safe with my 12 gauge walking alone.

Have read reviews. Are we talking about ELM Park Here?
One of the oldest, if not the oldest, in the city of worcester at the intersection of park ave & highland st. This is not a destination spot if you are on vacation. The park is seldomly patrolled and antiquated in many ways. It's good for a lunch or a jog or watching the "ducks" but watch were you step. The Bridge was in need of repair and not very accessible to elderly or those who have walking issues. This is not a place I would suggest going to at night unless there is a city function going on. For a city park it is a nice park, not great, but nice. There are no bathrooms, lockers, strollers etc... I love the picture as for a minute there I was wondering what park are we talking about.
