4 Star Places To Visit in Sulphur, Oklahoma, United States (9)
4.5Chickasaw Cultural Center(377 reviews) - Absolutely beautiful Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM History Museums
Such a beautiful place from parking lot to all the areas around it. My children and extended family had a wonderful time and learned a lot. They most exactly love the stomp dance performances. Also they love having to plant corn and more. The exhibit was neat, informative and interesting for a group of teenagers as well.See more..
4.0The Artesian Hotel Casino(122 reviews) - Good time with small winnings Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 AM Casinos
We enjoyed playing the slots here! My wife and I admittedly have no clue what we're doing when it comes to slot machines, but we ended up winning some extra cash and walking away happy. It does smell slightly smokey, but that's to be expected. They did a decent job of filtering the air, or at least it seemed that way.See more..
4.5Veteran's Lake(65 reviews) - Almost a private lake Bodies of Water
Beautiful little lake with picnicking areas, walking/exercise path, pavilion for gatherings. Eventhough this is park of the large National Park known as Chickasaw National Recreation Area, it feels almost like a private lake. Most folks go to Lake of the Arbuckles at this Park for boating, fishing and camping. But Veteran's Lake is excellent for day use and smaller boats. Also, during the recent flooding of May and June 2015, this lake stayed open. Lake of the Arbuckles had to close due to safety concerns and property damage issues.See more..
Upon arriving at the Visitors Center, I was greeted by a very friendly and informative ranger. The centers video was so informative about the area and its precious minerals. There were beautiful stained glass art pieces placed around the center- beautiful!!! You have to stop here and see what is displayed. See more..
I took an eleven year old, a thirteen year old and my Aunt. They enjoyed the experience. While we were there one of the artists actually came in. There is the gallery part and an art supply part. It was a truly wonderful experience. See more..
4.0Arbuckle Trail Rides(18 reviews) - Best trailride I've ever taken Horseback Riding Tours
This was by far the best trailriding experience I have ever had. As a horseback rider, it can be frustrating to take trail rides where either a) everyone just walks along at a slow pace or b) non-riders are made to trot and canter when they are not comfortable doing so. On this ride, I was able to take the reins (no pun intended) and canter out in the open in a big field while my boyfriend, who does not ride, stayed along the fenceline at a walk with the trail guide. They do their best to accommodate you and your group's needs. Worth the 2-hour trip from Dallas, in my opinion, for an authentic trail riding experience. We took a 1-hour ride, I'd expect that you'd see even more scenery on a longer ride. Highly recommend. Want to go back in the future for a longer ride. Reservations are required as they seem to be booked up on some days.See more..
