    Two Hearted Charters image
Captain Jason and mate Jon gave us a great afternoon. Our group ranged from age 11 to 71. We saw other charter options in the area but very glad we used Two Hearted. Their experience and expertise in fishing and boating and local waters are unmatched. We came home with a lot of fish filets! We give our Highest recommendation , and hope to book them again in the future. See more..
  2. 5.0 MN-Blackdog Diving LLC (4 reviews)

Huge kudos to Captain Brian Anderson of Blackdog Diving! We chartered him for a six day Lake Huron shipwreck diving trip. Captain Brian was nothing short of amazing. His boat is big, roomy, and comfortable. He treats his customers like we are royalty! Not only does he run a safe, professional charter, but he adds personal touches such as helping each diver on and off with their gear. We are tech divers, and that's a lot of gear! Plus - while we are diving, Brian bakes hot cinnamon rolls to greet us on surfacing! Honestly, if you want a professional, friendly, and outstanding time diving in Lake Huron (Presque Isle at least), contact Brian Anderson at Blackdog Diving. You cannot go wrong with him! See more..
  3. 5.0 Homestead Park (1 review)
    - A lovely park!..
    Parks
    Homestead Park image
We accidentally came upon this small, lovely park while driving around the peninsula. There is the old homestead of the founders of the area. It was not open when we visited. The park itself is adjacent. Very compact with plenty to offer. Picnic facilities with trash receptacles and shade. Very nice playground! Tennis court/basketball court/volleyball/badminton. The park has beautiful flowers and the grass is kept well. Thick, lush and green. Though on a major road, it was quiet and peaceful. I believe a local library is next door. Small parking lot. Restrooms. Highly recommend! See more..
  4. 4.5 Ocqueoc Falls (123 reviews)
    - Fantastic place to go
    Waterfalls
    Ocqueoc Falls image
What a great little gem. Nice grassy picnic area near the falls. If planning on entering the water wear water/tennis shoes. I recommend life jackets for younger children, especially if they plan to jump from the falls. We got there at 11:00 and were able to park in the lot, we left at 1:00 - cars were parked up and down the road. You do need a State Park passport. I did not see it, but my understanding is that you will get ticketed without it and/or parking along the road (don't know if true or not). We had a wonderful time. See more..
  5. 4.5 New Presque Isle Lighthouse (106 reviews)
    - Beautiful views
    Lighthouses
    New Presque Isle Lighthouse image
We visited the keepers house first and was given a tour by Carl who was fantastic and really knows the history of the lighthouse keepers and Coast Guard that took over. The “new” lighthouse next door has 138 steps and is the tallest in the Great Lakes that is open to the public to climb. The 3rd order fresnel lens is on display at the bottom by the gift shop. It is $5 to climb this lighthouse and price includes the old Presque Isle lighthouse. You can go outside on the catwalk; most Great Lakes lighthouses you cannot go on the catwalk. Views are beautiful. See more..
  6. 4.5 Old Presque Isle Lighthouse (31 reviews)
    - Lake Huron lighthouses
    Lighthouses
    Old Presque Isle Lighthouse image
National Historic Register! This was a very quiet spot where you can climb up the lighthouse (not very tall but its only $5 for both this one and New taller lighthouse mile down the road), and its right on the beach that you can just sit and enjoy the sound of the waves or if its hot you can wade out into the water. The kids enjoyed seeing the old light house and being able to climb up. You can also ring the old bell! See more..
  7. 4.5 Besser Natural Preserve (3 reviews)
    - Beautiful!
Spent 1-2 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
We took a winter hike through the preserve and it was breathtaking. We didn't see much of the old village - everything was covered in snow. The area is beautiful and the views of Lake Huron are stunning! See more..
