   We stayed in one of the new geodomes at the state campground. We liked the location and that it was sound proof and air conditioned. We liked that we had a small fridge, microwave, fire pit and 4 chairs for by the fire. We could easily walk to the beach and spent most of our time there. Note: you do not have direct access to the beach from your site, but it’s a short walk. There are a few things that would made this a 5 star stay. Some shade - there are no trees near the domes - you are in the sun 100%. I recommend campers bring a canopy. The bathroom is quite a little jaunt away. There is a need for some hooks inside the domes to put wet towels or bags. Finally, although the description says it comes with 2 bunk beds- you must assemble them. The space is small after assembled. I would not recommend for more than 2 people or for a family with small children only. See more..

Homemade and a supplier brand is in the freezer waiting for you from spring till fall. Portions? We’ll leave that “little” surprise for you to discover for yourself! Bring a Tupperware or container of some sort unless you plan to share with 4 friends! A true treasure hidden away in Grindstone City.    This is a combination marina, very small beach, and pier. I only used the pier portion, and you do get a great view of a lighthouse and Lake Huron. It’s kept up very well- the concrete portions were apparently redone in 1979 but they are well maintained- ample raining and no broken concrete. See more..

   Family Go-Karts is Grand Prix style track that's been in Port Austin and family owned for over 50 years! It's a Port Austin tradition for many families and fit for all ages. Little ones can ride in our double seat go-karts with their parents. Ages 3-8 can try out the Junior karts (which go out on the track by themselves.) Ages 8 and up can ride the go-karts and race their friends and family members. We also have Fast Karts! These are for ages 16& up and require a waiver with parental consent. The Aero Trim (a spinning gyro machine), paintball target shooting and basketball hoops. Make the last basket and win a free ride of your choice! We offer a free kiddie play land for kids 8 and under. Plan a birthday party or field trip.
