5 Star Places To Visit in Port Austin, Michigan, United States (11)
5.0Port Austin Kayak(78 reviews) - Great staff—thoughtful and helpful! Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Gear Rentals • Kayaking & Canoeing
This is just a great company. They have a Twitter feed for you to check weather conditions. We had originally scheduled for Saturday over 4th of July weekend. The Twitter feed said it might be a little rough, and we were debating since we had two 12 year olds and a 13 year old all with their own kayak. (No tandem kayaks for Turnip Rock trip.) While we were thinking about it, I got a text saying that if you were a beginner, you probably shouldn’t go out that day. I called, they canceled and helped us get rescheduled on Sunday. Because it was a holiday weekend, I couldn’t get all 6 of us rescheduled at the same time. But they said not to worry about that. When we showed up, even though our bookings were 30 minutes apart, they let us all go out at the early time. The guys down at the dock were helpful and gave us a quick little paddling lesson. Overall just a really positive experience with helpful staff.See more..
5.0Fish Factory Sportfishing(19 reviews) - A good time fishing with friends on lake Huron Fishing Charters & Tours
I went to catch a good size fish, my first catch was a good size lake trout which set off the early morning very well(and a little tired reeling it in). Our group of four continued to catch a variety (lake trout, steelhead trout a coho salmon,a pink salmon and a walleye) over the next five hours!. The captain Herm and first mate Chris were quick to get the pole in our hands and inform us what to do to assure the best chance of getting these fish on board and in the cooler!. A very enjoyable fishing experience!See more..
Could not have been better! Ready on time, Friendly, inviting, clan boat, very professional and expert fishing technique. The lake and weather were beautiful and we caught a lot of fish (14 between 4 of us!) Salmon, Steelhead, Lake trout, and Walleye. This was my wife and my fist experience and it was great. We will be doing it again. My brother and sister-in-law have done charters in Florida, Mexico, Hawaii and Michigan and they tell me it does not get better than this!See more..

Very reasonable prices and some very nice soy candles, some rare decorations and some ornaments for all seasons. For a resale shop it had very high quality items and good selections. Lighthouses, Christmas ornaments, and a lot of glass decorations....great find. See more..
The visit out to the lighthouse is one of the best excursions we have taken. The history, seeing the renovation in progress, enjoying the beautiful view from the lighthouse is well worth the $50 price - which I call a donation. Absolutely a must do when in the area!See more..
