While I've known about this Scottish Rite Temple for many years, this was my first opportunity to visit this building. It is truly an amazing structure. Approximately 400,000 square feet and nearly a century old, the interior design and furnishings are beyond belief. The organ, with over 3000 pipes, is as old as the building and tuned twice a year. I was looking for historical books on Guthrie and was told to go to the museum. Not only was it east to find, easy to park and beautiful to boot, the woman working there on 6/25/22 was very helpful. We talked for awhile as I was looking for a book. She ended up giving me a second book about Elmer McCuardy for free as "you might need a second book for your long trip." This museum is housed in an old and beautiful building and is literally filled with interesting items that were commonly found in small drugstores over the past century. There is so much to see inside the museum that one could spend numerous hours enjoying the displays. The adjoining Apothecary Garden is a delight to see as well. See more..

It was nice to attend a play without having the hassle of huge crowds and parking difficulties. If you’re looking for luxurious surroundings, then this is not for you. . The haunted mansion is a must if you are looking to shed your inhibitions and go with the murder mystery. The food is delicious and the mystery is fun. I suggest you bring a date. The ghost made itself known and we had a visitor in the form of af cat that slept with us for awhile. We had to leave early and so missed breakfast but I am sure it was a delight as well. I think it is a lot more fun if you do not get up a party because the interaction is funnier with total strangers. Just take a date and stay in character. See more..
