What a lovely experience. I highly recommend this very fun and educational alpaca farm. Karla and her family were exceptionally friendly and kind. The alpacas were cute and were easygoing. Worth the drive! They have two separate golf courses that have two great 18 hole courses on each. This truly is golf land! Downtown Guthrie has things to do if you are traveling with those who don't like to golf. Lots of bed and breakfasts (Redstone Country Inn) is great! All very reasonably priced and service is great! This was such a fun experience, it was worth the time to be the first to add them to trip adviser. The owners were extra friendly and they were really invested in making sure each customer was having a good time. They sell licorice, taffy, and other old-timey candies. The taffy was the best I'd ever had and the only problem is they encourage you to try them all! I even tried the licorice and even though I'm not a fan, I could see how someone who really loves licorice would love what they sell. See more..

While I've known about this Scottish Rite Temple for many years, this was my first opportunity to visit this building. It is truly an amazing structure. Approximately 400,000 square feet and nearly a century old, the interior design and furnishings are beyond belief. The organ, with over 3000 pipes, is as old as the building and tuned twice a year. I was looking for historical books on Guthrie and was told to go to the museum. Not only was it east to find, easy to park and beautiful to boot, the woman working there on 6/25/22 was very helpful. We talked for awhile as I was looking for a book. She ended up giving me a second book about Elmer McCuardy for free as "you might need a second book for your long trip." . The haunted mansion is a must if you are looking to shed your inhibitions and go with the murder mystery. The food is delicious and the mystery is fun. I suggest you bring a date. The ghost made itself known and we had a visitor in the form of af cat that slept with us for awhile. We had to leave early and so missed breakfast but I am sure it was a delight as well. I think it is a lot more fun if you do not get up a party because the interaction is funnier with total strangers. Just take a date and stay in character. See more..

We stumbled across this cute store while in Guthrie. They were having their licorice festival. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. There was tons of licorice to sample. The chocolate licorice ice cream is delicious! Apart from the special event this would be a fun store to explore. It is full of made in the US handmade arts and crafts. There is a lot more in here than you'd expect and it's definitely worth checking out. See more..

I loved how staci personalized the stories. It didnt feel like someone just reciting stories, but more like someone sharing experiences. This is such an interesting town! I cant believe I waited so long to do this and will definitely be back. We have always looked for ghost walks when we travel but just had not got around to taking the one that was in the town next door. We all had a great time! See more..

Met the owners and learned they took over the place a few years ago, so if you haven't been there in a while, please meet the new owners and staff. 3 separate sporting clay courses plus skeet and trap. Place was clean and the stations were a good mix of targets. Two of the courses can be easily walked and the third course is for members only. Never did I feel rushed walking the grounds and really enjoyed the grounds. Much like a good hike in the forest. Plenty of parking. Ammo is available, but they did not have an ffl for rental guns or new firearms sales. We stayed in Edmond, OK. Plenty of good places to stay and eat.
