   The Butler Museum is a very special place for locals. The town of Butler was originally located in what is now the Watauga Lake. When the lake was built in the 1940s, the town was moved to it's current location. Many folks who were displaced still live in the area. The Butler Museum is a must see for locals and visitors alike. It's a really touching experience to go through the museum and understand the history of 'the town that wouldn't drown." See more..
