  1. 5.0 Double Edge Theatre (11 reviews)
    - This is an unbelievable work of art that will leave you inspired!
    Sunday: Theaters
    Double Edge Theatre image
If you want to experience inspiring theater- Double Edge is the place. The actors are extremely talented and they have used an amazing deal of creativity in the outdoor sets to transport the audience into the production. In addition to that, they have planned meticulously to assure social distancing in light of COVID19. In this time when so many things are discouraging and seem dark, Double Edge is a shining light! I was reminded of a very important truth that can get lost during these times of division in our country. In the words of one of the characters- “everyone deserves to be loved.” See more..
  2. 5.0 Bug Hill Farm (1 review)
    - Great morning picking berries.
    Spent 2-3 hours Farms
    Bug Hill Farm image
We visited Bug Hill Farm for a lovely morning of picking berries. Kate (the owner of the farm) and the rest of the team are extremely knowledgeable and the whole farm has such a nice relaxing vibe. We truly enjoyed wandering through the fields and greenhouses and filling our buckets with the most delicious fruits (to be honest: we did try some of them as we were picking). On our way out we also bought some delicious cordials from the farm shop. We cannot wait to come back! Thanks Kate! See more..

  5. 4.0 Ashfield Lake (11 reviews)
    - Beautiful place to rest from a drive

    Ashfield Lake image
Ashfield Lake has clear, clean water and trees along its bank. It has benches and a trail with wildflowers on both sides. The trail narrows at the sort of entrance into its wooded part. Its bank across has a playground and a beach as well as backyards of residential houses. It’s a beautiful place to take a break from a drive. See more..

  7. 4.0 Ashfield Plain Cemetery (1 review)
    - Memorial Day Parade brings Ashfielders here to celebrate its citizens
    Cemeteries
The Plain Cemetery in Ashfield, MA is just four or five houses from Main Street. Not to be confused with Baptist Corner Cemetery (March Road) near the Baptist Church. The Plain Cemetery is practically in downtown Ashfield on Baptist Corner Road. It is surrounded by homes with lovely gardens on three sides. An open sidewalk with old and beautiful Maple trees lets anyone interested wander in, among the headstones, checking out names such as Sears, Williams, Tyler, Hamlin, Hall, Willkins-Ellis, Howes, and many more, with dates going back to 1781 (and probably older that I did not see). In the center of the terrain, where the annual Memorial Parade arrives and the community surrounds a speaker who traditionally remembers local stories and heroes. Leaving the Cemetery, which is rather small, you are on the corner where Main Street and Baptist Corner Street meet. St. John's Church and the Congregational Church are on opposite sides of Main Street, Further on, is the Town Hall with it's majestic steeple, next to the Fire Department, from where the Memorial Day Parade starts. Closing the parade is a no less impressive line of vintage cars, During October Fall Festival (Columbus Day) Ashfield doubles its population attracting leaves-peepers and those who love a country fair. 8. 3.5 Elmer's Store (13 reviews)
    - Disappointing
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
    Elmer's Store image
Lukewarm coffee and cappuccino, overcooked omelet, pancakes were ok but also a bit over cooked/tough. Why the long wait to order when only two other tables of diners? Friendly waitstaff and nice, comfortable vibe but I’m sorry to see this lovely spot not held to its former high (and delicious) standard. See more..
