  1. 5.0 Museum of Illusions (502 reviews)
    - Unforgettable experience

    Museum of Illusions image
Enter the fascinating world of illusions which will trick your confidence in your own senses, but will also amaze you by doing so; the world that will confuse you completely, but also educate you… We promise you will be thrilled because nothing is what it seems, especially not in the Museum of Illusions! 3. 5.0 Doha Metro (188 reviews)
    - Clean and Comfy Metro
    Public Transportation Systems
    Doha Metro image
This is the comfiest metro system I've been in so far. The seats are cushioned and there is a separate area for families. You can buy single journey tickets or day passes but I would recommend getting a reusable metro pass because it is 2 royal per ride and the maximum you can spend in a day is 6 riyal after that you can keep scanning your card and you will not be charged more. If you're looking for more of a high end experience you can get a gold club card which will cost 10 riyal a ride and a maximum of 30 riyal. Honestly might be worth it if you're taking the whole red line. The bathrooms are very clean in the metro stations and everything is very nicely cooled. The trains are driverless and if you're lucky you could snag the seats at the front with a great view of the ride. There is a tram connected to Legtaifiya station that goes into Lusail and plans to expand the system further. See more..
  4. 5.0 QM GALLERY AL RIWAQ (19 reviews)
    - Jeff Koons exhibition.
Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries • Speciality Museums • Art Museums
    QM GALLERY AL RIWAQ image
A separate exhibition space, the Al Riwaq Art Space, only houses temporary exhibits. Presently, the art space is hosting an exhibition by Jeff Koons. The layout of this art space is different from the museum of Islamic art, although it occupies the same grounds as the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA). The space was very well set up and brightly lit. There's a very calm atmosphere to the exhibition, which is thought-provoking and intriguing. See more..

Points of Interest & Landmarks • Scenic Walking Areas • Flea & Street Markets
    Souq Waqif image
Dont buy a tour. Get a taxi to drop you off and walk. It is safe, friendly and plenty to do. Great cafe, restaurants and of course shopping. Paying $200+ for a tour is a rip off when return taxi from anywhere in the city should be less than $20 and even from the airport less than $50. See more..

Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks
    The Corniche image
The Corniche is a several km long promenade in Doha.During the World Cup it was only for pedestrians available. Everything seems new and everything is clean and nice. Especially after sundown a lot of people are walking there and a lot of activities like concerts took place during the World Cup. You have great views from there to the old Harbour and to the skyline of Westbay. There are some small Imbisses but do not expect too much. When the World Cup is finished I guess that most of the concerts and other activities will be finished, too. But you can walk and enjoy the scenery there. I enjoyed my walking tours. See more..
  12. 4.5 Katara Cultural Village (2.628 reviews)
    - Great Spot to Hang Out
    Visitor Centers • Theaters
    Katara Cultural Village image
There is some nice street art and plenty of good restaurants here. They have a nice amphitheatre with a good view of the ocean so I'm hoping to get here for a concert at one point as well. We went here for a nice sit down restaurant for dinner and ended up walking around for a couple of hours. There are lots of food choices including desserts and refreshment options. The Tasty Street area is relatively inexpensive and I hope it closes to drive through traffic because it is so narrow, walkable and there are very few places to sit and enjoy your food outside. I'm looking forward to more weekend adventures out here. It is a 6 minute walk from Katara station but there is a good boardwalk along Katara Beach if you want to use Al Qasar station. See more..
  13. 4.5 Villaggio (2.160 reviews)
    - Villaggio Mall, Doha,Qatar
    Shopping Malls
    Villaggio image
While for us the mall was 22km from our hotel on The Pearl it was worth the trip. Malls here are definitely a destiny’s d this one did not disappoint. The inside was bright and spacious and u felt like you were in Venice Italy with bright blue skies and gondolas going up the canal. Shops ranged from mid to high end. As in this area of the world, cafes abound as well as eateries. Great selections. Reason for the 4 star was that the mall was freezing!! Maybe due to their indoor ice rink? We even saw a group of hockey players practicing too. All in all another great evening in Doha, Qatar. See more..

    - Another spectacular Doha park
    Parks
    Aspire Park image
The parks in Doha are great. This one has lots of sports fields, plus a lake with water sports, a bridge over the lake with a water feature over it. On hot days, everyone has fun dashing across the bridge trying not to get soaked by the fountain overhead. There’s lots of coffee and ice cream for sale. Another park to either relax and rewind or play some sports - or both. Lots of families enjoying themselves See more..

    - Qatar national museum review
Friday: 1:30 PM - 7:00 PM Speciality Museums • History Museums
    National Museum of Qatar image
The immersive and experiential National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) tells the story of Qatar and its people from earliest times to today, bringing to life the peninsula’s natural history, giving voice to Qatar’s rich heritage and culture, and expressing a vibrant community’s aspirations for the future. The new museum embraces, as its centrepiece, the restored historic Palace of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani (1880-1957), son of the founder of modern Qatar: a building that in former times was both the home of the Royal Family and the seat of government and was subsequently the site of the original National Museum. Jean Nouvel’s new building incorporates the Palace while seamlessly integrating innovative artworks commissioned from Qatari and international artists, rare and precious objects, documentary materials, and interactive learning opportunities. Spent 2-3 hours Parks • Playgrounds
    MIA Park image
Unfortunately the Doha Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) is closed until September, 2022 for a major rehanging of the art works. We were able to tour the MIA Park, which is fantastic, with lovely views and the amazing Richard Serra “Seven” art work (see pictures). The day before we had driven out in the desert to enjoy Serra’s fantastic “East-West / West-East” so the next day we went to the MIA Park, which has lovely park grounds and seaside walks to compliment the Islamic architecture of the museum. I very much enjoyed the park grounds and look forward to returning to visit inside the museum. See more..

    - World famous market for falcons and a specialized hospital
    Flea & Street Markets
    Falcon Souk image
It was founded more than 100 years ago in Doha. Waqif Palace is the city's most important architectural heritage site. It was completely renovated, highlighting all the beauty of the old architecture. This market, very popular with both residents and tourists, includes restaurants, traditional clothing, spices, perfumes, local crafts and gold. But its most striking feature is still the purchase of the hawk. Fans of the hawks come here to find what they need for their pets and for those who want to train for hunting or flying competitions. The market also has a specialized and fully equipped clinic exclusively for falcons. These birds are so important in Qatar and their owners love them and take great care of them. We have never seen anything like it anywhere before and it is really worth your visit. See more..

I visited the stadium during the FIFA World Cup. A Metro Station is Next to the stadium. This stadium is the old national stadium and it‘s nice. The scenery with the Aspire tower and the stadium is great, especially in the evening. Inside the stadium you will notice that it is not brand new and not state of the art like the new stadium in Lusail. In the evening a visit is very nice. See more..
