   If you have the time, get there either Friday or Saturday preferably. It has to do with Qatar’s culture. Camels, do mean a lot to the locals. You have to get here by car as it is not that close to Doha. It is fun seeing these beautiful well groomed and massive animals in the track racing and towering over you. See more..

   We took a nearly 200 mile day trip to this country’s north region that included this game reserve. For us it was a quick drive on a one lane circuit to spot several range animals among a relatively tree shaded site. It is not really a zoo. The nearby Al Shahaniya Camel racetrack would be a much bigger draw. See more..
