We made a last minute stop to this site and I am so happy we did! First off, they are doing a lot of repairs and expanding the size of the viewing Rancho which I am sure will be very nice. The children and adolescents who hang out there are very nice - wish they were in school, but hey - who am I to tell them what to do. The walk to the pits are a little funky because there's no path or anything but when you get to one of the bubbling clay pools...WOW! The ground is super hot and it's really not that dangerous but it did melt the bottom of one of my sandles (yes...that hot!). I bought some of the clay in a bag back home to use as a facial and it is very refreshing. I say - go! If you're I. The area it's an inexpensive, quick adventure tour. See more..

The clock is considered, after the minor Basilica of San Sebastián, the second icon of the city. The initial idea of building a tower dates back to 1904 during the golden age of coffee exports. The construction of the Tower was begun in 1932 and was finished in 1935. The total height of the tower is 15.5 meters. The structure has wider base than the dome. Its cost was seven thousand córdobas of that time and was inaugurated by the president Juan Bautista Sacasa. The clock is a pride for the diriambans and it gives a touch of personality to the city, See more..
