Beautiful landscape with natural beauty. Heaven of Nepal. Flower in summer and snow in winter. Panoramic view from murma and chuchemara. 6 hours hiking from Gotijhula to Rara. I forgot all my tiredness once I saw rara. Two or three night stay may be sufficient for visitors. I enjoyed horse ride, boating, sightseeing, campfire, hiking to murma top. Find typical culture and livelihood. If you are planning by jeep you can plan for jumla (khalanga) while returning back. I have many bad experience on my first visit but It was my second visit to Rara lake and I Enjoyed a lot at @Rara Cultural Resort (Small but beautiful concept). Highly recommend for best service in area in affordable price even it was 15 minutes far from rara lake. See more..

By far one of the most beautiful lakes in Nepal (maybe it is the most beautiful of all, but it depends on yr expectations). I booked room in Bardia Jungle Cottage in a very very reasonable price. The owner Mr Premji is very cool and helped us in every manner. After few requests, he reduced the rates of every thing even the charges of guides. The food quality is awesome. I am planing to visit it again on my Royal enfield bike.
