As part of a historical tour in Port Louis, we had a stop at the Nelson Mandela Centre. It provided us with an unique insight into African and Creole Culture. We had a talk from one of the docents, a short film about the history of slavery. The Centre helps Mauritians trace their linguistic, geographic and cultural roots. There is an art collection as well as an artifact collection. Very enlightening. See more..
