The tour of the tea factory was interesting but it was sometimes difficult to hear the guide fully because of the noise of the machinery. That said it does give you a better understanding of the tea production. Following the factory tour you can go for tea tasting at the restaurant on the hill with great views of the tea plantation and across the island. There is a wide range of teas to try. Interestingly the tour and tasting at 500 rupees was more expensive than the same type of visit to Rhumerie de Chamarel. Obviously not much money in tea! See more..
