Bucket list Swimming with dolphins was the first thing we did with DaDou this vacation in Albion for a fair price - breakfast included. He was extremely friendly, full of knowledge that our kids and we enjoyed, as well as respectful towards the mammals and the environment. The surprise came when we asked what else can we see and experience here in Mauritius; his answer: whale watching and maybe swimming along their side. We cheered and we were sold, despite his honest warning that we might not see them. We still went for it and after 45 minutes we saw the first exhale. My wife‘s top bucket list item just came true. DaDou glided with his boat along side and asked if we were interested to jump in and swim with them, despite the depth of 2000 meters. It was magical! We can recommend him - friendly, extremely knowledgeable and respectful (not like some other guides) towards his clients and nature. See more..

We were a group of 6: 2 adults and 4 kids aged between 12 and 15. Our two instructors, Joey and Loic, were fantastic, taking us on the journey from the first pool dive to an 18m sea dive as part of the PADI Open Water course. They were flexible with times of dives, so that we had time to do other activities, and the dive sites were never more than a short boat ride away. The instructors are patient and reassuring, and always have a smile on their face. I would highly recommend diving with them - it was a great family experience and we all have unforgettable memories! Hospitable and helpful. Stefan and the rest of the le trio team were professional, fun and organised. The vessel and equipment was clean and they knew what they were doing. Within the first 40 minutes we had hooked our first fish. A Marlin. We didn’t loose a fish all day. Refreshments were provided and the captain was happy for us to bring more. A welcoming committee ensured we had great picture of our catches. highly recommend the le trio experience. See more..

    - Let there be light

    Albion Lighthouse image
The Albion lighthouse in the small village of Albion has a panoramic view from the cliffs. The tower height is 97 feet and the two white flashes that light up the area every 10 seconds are visible within 29 nautical miles The Albion lighthouse was built in 1910 and the architecture was unique for the island at that time. More than one hundred years later, the structure is still intact, and the interior is largely composed of the original design and building material. To get to the lighthouse can be tricky by road, head for Albion. Coming from Flic en Flac, just drive through Bambous and turn left at Canot. The lighthouse is signposted from the village of Albion. We have been there by road as well as seeing from speedboat whilst taking a boat trip down to the south of the island. See more..
