  1. 5.0 Sary Chelek Biosphere Reserve (26 reviews)
    - Great water to swim and place to enjoy the surrounding nature
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent More than 3 hours National Parks
    Sary Chelek Biosphere Reserve image
Nice place to enjoy great views on the way towards the lake as well as the surrounding wallnut forests. The water in crystal clear lake is tempting and definitely worthy to try. We were charged 400 som per person park entrance fee + 100 som for own car. Locals pay less. Though rather expensive, it was our understanding the entrance fee included camping if we wanted. We also got some extras - there was a local wedding taking place at the Lake. See more..
  2. 5.0 Holy Rock (4 reviews)
    - Beware of Friendship Pass to the Holy Lake
Spent More than 3 hours Mountains • National Parks • Canyons • Forests • Geologic Formations
    Holy Rock image
Up to Holy Rock then the ridge at 3100 meter there is no difficulty (except the physical effort) but don't attempt Friendship Pass, on the way to the Holy Lake (Kol Mazar), with or without a local guide, unless you are ready to take real risks. It is an extremely steep, and long, scree slope and near the top it is unstable and dangerous. On the other end, the Kerets Pass between the Holy Lake and Kyzyl Unkur presents no difficulty. 3. 5.0 Saimaluu Tash (3 reviews)
    - Precious but endangered
    National Parks
    Saimaluu Tash image
Set in an awsome landscape up the mountain the petrohlyphs are a must to visit if in that region. However, besides amazement you get an uneasy feeling when looking at those ancient treasures so exposed to whomever gets there with whatever intentions. In Kazarman, ask for Aibolot, a young, friendly and knowledgable guide who speaks fluent English (but is probably available only during summer months). See more..

  6. 4.5 Toktogul Lake (25 reviews)
    - The biggest water reservoir in Kyrgyzstan

It’s the biggest man made reservoir in the country filled by river Naryn. It has the biggest Hydroelectric station. Lake surrounded by mountains. Lake is huge and views are incredible. 7. 4.5 Arslanbob Walnut Forest (24 reviews)
    - Amazing experience
National Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Forests
    Arslanbob Walnut Forest image
If you want to relax in an amazing spot without worrying about anything go to Arslanbon. First of, the money you pay goes to locals and CBT which is a social system that benefits income of locals and aims for better nature and environment. The owner of the CBT there is an amazing dude. He is very welcoming and very kind. If you have accessories for hiking and camping that you no longer need, you can donate it to them so that they can train more people to help travellers in the future. If you have a app for maps then you really don't need a tour guide for the walnut forest hike. It took me about 5 hours to hike the forest and the small waterfall but I would see locals from time to time and they would walk with me and guide me when I felt lost and confused. Otherwise, there are many many tours and amazing tour guides that can help you. These people depend on this money that you pay so please don't be cheap and bargain over $1-2. I found a few shady tourists whom literally argued over discount for the tour. It costs about $10 to get the all day hike guide around falls and forest... Really people... $10 for the entire day... That is a salary of one local in one week. And don't forget that wintertime is a low season for these people and you are helping this community! The homestay was absolutely amazing. We stayed at a rather far one because we wanted absolute peace. The family that helped us cooked us avery very delicious food with amazing homemade jams and honey... Aw yes... Try the honey there because it taste like a nectar from the heaven. Although I wasn't crazy about the waterfalls but it would be nice to see I guess. See more..
