This was definitely the hightligh of Greanada for me. It was awesome. A very underrated place. There’s a very steep cement road from the last point where you can park the car and then head up. You turn left at the top into the bushes and go around the abandoned power station and then continue into the foresty area where there’s a path. After about 15 mins of trekking, the path just opens up and you can get some amazing views of the whole north of the island. I practically spent ane entire hour doing nothing soaking up the fresh air and the views. It was very surreal. The hike is not for the faint hearted as the walk is really steep and tires you out. It’s also nowhere tourist friendly and is quite adventourous getting there. Definitely only for fit people. Take a few water bottles with you. The steep cement road also gives you an amazing photo opportunity of the iconic michel jackson gravity defying dance move leaning forward. See photos attachd. See more..

    - Lovely beach bar with wonderful people
    Saturday: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM Bars & Clubs
The Water Club Sports Bar/The Blue Bar image
When in Grenada, a visit to the "Blue Bar" on the northern coast is a must. We were tipped off to this place by our hosts at Almost Paradise in Sauteurs, and we enjoyed it so much that we returned three days in a row. Dale and Maggie are welcoming and friendly, and even prepared foods for us to take home with us, including Maggie's special recipe hot sauce, which we can't get enough of! We had delicious lambi and curried goat here, and enjoyed meeting several locals who are clearly grateful for the community Dale and Maggie have cultivated here. Directly on the beach, it's the perfect place to cool off with a beer, have lunch or a snack and enjoy conversation in between having a swim or visiting other nearby sights. See more..

    St. Patrick Anglican Church image
St. Patrick Anglican Church has its own cemetery. Inside the doors, it is all in dark wood. Really beautiful!\\There are stained-glass windows and there is a second floor. I found drums on the second floor. From the second floor, we can see the cemetery really well. This is truly worthwhile to see. See more..

  18. 4.5 River Sallee Sulfur Springs (10 reviews)
    - Sulfur Springs - great experience to visit!
    Hot Springs & Geysers
    River Sallee Sulfur Springs image
My cousin and I went to River Sallee Sulfur Springs. Just a forethought, there are 2 springs in Grenada so if you travel there by bus make certain to name the correct one! We found out the hard way. There walk to that sulfur spring is off the regular road and is a LONG and UNSAFE to its destination. River Sallee is like a 2 minute walk to the actual spring area. Also, bring a plastic bag or two if you plan to bathe (which is absolutely safe!) in the water for your wet clothes and towel and change of clothes. It is a very basic open area with a fresh water well to rinse off in. But there are no washrooms. I suggest you look at the videos on You Tube for a better idea. The ladies who provide the massage on site, may seem daunting at first, once you speak with them, they are quite delightful and friendly! The scenic drive up the mountain is quite beautiful and yes, the grounds may need sprucing up but its natural quaint feel along with the baths is quite an experience. See more..
  19. 4.5 Leapers Hill (8 reviews)
    - A very moving Memorial
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Leapers Hill image
Our tour man, Timmy took us here & we’re so glad he did. A beautiful moving memorial for the Caribs who were so brutally treated the view is beautiful from the memorial too. We had our 7 year old daughter with us & explained what had happened here, so important for us all to learn history from the locals. See more..
  20. 4.5 Levera Pond (3 reviews)
    - Peaceful Place to View Wildlife
Spent < 1 hour Bodies of Water
    Levera Pond image
The entrance to Levera Pond is about half-way between Bathway Beach and Levera Beach on the Bathway-Levera Road. Heading north on that road, you'll see a sign for the pond and a roped staircase leading to the west, down into the forest. Follow this path for a short distance and you'll arrive at the observation tower on the pond's shoreline. Along the trail, several of the trees have signs on them identifying the species, including several types of Mangrove. The observation tower has two levels where you can look out over the pond and spot the waterfowl living in the area. This place would be of most interest to bird watchers, but I found it to be a peaceful, relaxing place to stroll in the shade. When I visited in December, there was no problem with insects.
