   The Seinajoki main library consists of two buildings (Apila and Aalto) and both are architecturally noteworthy. Aalto library was completed in 1965 and was designed by Alvar Aalto. The newer building Apila was opened in August of 2012. Apila is open every day of the year. Aalto library is closed on religious holidays and Sundays and also Saturdays during the summer.    In touch with NATURE!!! When in Finland, I highly recommend a visit to Reinon Tupa. An experience you'll never forget! Activities and adventures are a must. Our group enjoyed the ATV rally as well as the saunas. Marko, the eldest son of Reinon explained the history of the area and the sauna.    Biggest collection of old tractors in Finland. The museum is private owned and there is about 150 tractors. Most of them are renovated and they are in "working-condition". The owner is 80-old Matti Jaskari. He has collected the tractors during 25 years from Finland. He is entrepreneur and nowadays you can meet him in museum because there is still a lot of working.    Civil Guard and Lotta Svärd museum. Built in 1924-1926. Designed by Alvar Aalto. The Civil Guard house of Southern Ostrobothnia. Green main building has exhibitions on three floors. Bottom floor has a ball room and veterans organizations exhibition, middle floor has a Lotta Svärd exhibition, Second floor is the former home of South Ostrobothnian Civil Guard leader Matti Laurila and his family and has an exhibition about Jägers and the Civil Guard.     This old church, build in 1827, was originally a gunpowder warehouse. It is situated not far from the Törnävä Manor, originally Wasastierna Manor. The Wasastierna family ran different kinds of business in their years, one of them being the gunpowder factory. The gunpowder laboratory house still exists and is part of the Museum of Southern Ostrobothnia (Etelä-Pohjanmaan Maakuntamuseo). It was turned to a church already in 1864, as the gunpowder manufacturing had ended some 10 years earlier. To me, the wooden interior is like just another Finnish church, yet a bit old fashioned with its old iron stoves. There are rather new organs in the church, from 1960's, built by German-Finnish organ builder Hans Heinrich. The Törnävä Church is a very popular venue for weddings and in Christmas time, it's crowded with people singing and listening to Christmas carols. I, too, use to attend those events almost every year. I find this church, a former gunpowder warehouse, a bit symbolic, too. Some people say that Gospel is gunpowder for sinners. At least, some concerts seem to be an explosive experience to music lovers. See more..

    Spent over an hour on the area. Main feature is "traffic school" type of driving track for children under 12. Pedal cars are free to use and include helmets. There is nice asphalt track with lots of traffic signs and different intersections. "Fiilispuisto" has some quick-to-try sports activity - like shoot-a-goal, wooden stilts, etc. Third part of the area is normal children playground. Worth the visit. Free of charge. See more..
