   You may think this is just a retail shop to buy Tulikivi fireplaces but it is so much more! We watched a 12 minute video of the company (offered in several languages). It was really interesting to learn about the history of soapstone in Finland and Russia. We were in awe walking around the retail floor seeing all the beautiful stoves. They are truly works of art! I wish we could have one in our home in the USA! Then we walked out to see a retired soapstone quarry. Afterwards we visited the small but very interesting museum! Last but not least we walked around the beautiful grounds. This is one of our favorite stops in Koli! See more..

   The rippling Tarhapuro Waterfall in the middle of a lush herb-rich forest is a refreshing sight. The waterfall is at its most handsome in spring when the snow is melting.    The spa is ok, however needs some improvements. We visited the spa with our 10 months old baby. There was no table etc where to change the swimming nappy and suit for the baby. Also the spa has no cafeteria should one want something to eat after swimming. The saunas were nice, I liked the aroma sauna the most. The pools are small, however as we were almost the only people there, they were quite adequate. See more..
