Koli is known as Finnish national view. Ukko-Koli is easy to reach, only couple of hundreds meters from parking area. There is lot of walking routes and we went to Mäkränkierto which is about 7,5km walking route in Koli national park. Mäkrä walking route isn't too difficult, but you need proper hiking shoes because it's rocky and might be bit wet in some areas if it's raining.See more..

Uuron kierros nature trail is about 3 km long nature trail that has interesting information about the geology in Koli National Park. The trail also goes to the most-known viewpoints in Koli and it takes about one hour to walk the whole trail. There are some steep hills along the trail, but I think it is still ok for families.See more..

The Shepard's trail starting and end point is at Paimenenvaara parking area on Kotaniementie road. The trail features herb-rich slope forests and their vegetation. Information boards along the trail are in Finnish, English and German. The trail leads across rugged cliffs and is more demanding than other trails.
