So much to see: Soft Coral, Hawksbill Turtles, More tropical fish species than you could count, It'd been over 5 years since I'd gone diving, but with my divemaster, Vo's help - I was back in action with no trouble at all. He served as a GREAT tour-guide, able to accurately share names of animals I inquired about. These were un-hurried dives.. with so much to see. It's the first time in my experience on a dive boat, where I was offered hot coffee or hot tea as some of the refreshments, so nice! See more..

In June 2014 we stayed at the Papageno Resort Kadavu Island and took a 50 minute boat ride in a Fiji Islander 28 runabout to the northern end of Ono Island and the Great Astrolabe Reef. To swim with the Manta Rays we had to arrive at high tide. They swim towards the shore and can be seen in water about 5-7m deep. This was the highlight of our diving/snorkling experience. The rays swim calmly around you and can be followed and photographed with ease. The coral formations are very colourful and superb. Following that we snorkelled and dived on other reefs selected by Papageno staff. We had a picnic lunch on a Robinson Cruiso type island. A superb picnic basket was provided by the Papageno staff including climbing and selecting cocnuts to drink their water - so delicious! The beaches also had superb coral formations to snorkel over. The fishing on the way back was thrilling to say the least. A 4kg Emporer fish took all my strength to bring aboard. See more..

Even though we were only able to dive for two days they were great. Iso was a great divemaster who went the extra mile to make my friend, who was returning to diving after some time, feel safe on our dives. See more..
