    WOW PARK Billund image
Amazing park!! I have 16,13 and 5 year old children and they all loved it! You can spend a whole day here and still want to stay longer. Quite physical so prepare to be very tired at the end. Only negative is that I asked in the cafe for my water bottle to be filled up to be told I would have to buy water in a plastic bottle and there was no where on site to fill water. This was during a heatwave. NOT GOOD. The reception did fill it up once but I ended up using the toilet taps for repeating filling. Saw lots of taps around but none of them worked. This seems to be a common problem everywhere we went in Denmark (Legoland, LegoHouse). Sort it out Denmark- less plastic waste!! Encourage refilling water bottles. See more..

The vikings who were in the houses were happy to answer the questions and I gained a lot of new knowledge. The Center also has a farm with many animals: cows, sheep’s, pig with piglets and some friendly cats. Museum of Modern Art And Design Trapholt is located in Southern Denmark on the mainland of Jutland and is one of the largest and most popular museums in Denmark, outside of Copenhagen. Trapholt opened in 1988 and added additional exhibition space and collection storage in 1996. The international architecture competition held in 1982, was won by the project team of architects Boje Lundgaard and Bente Aude, lighting designer Sophus Frandsen and landscape architect Svend Kirkegaard, for its exceptional museum design and its extraordinary and sensitive placement in nature. Trapholt Exhibitions Trapholt displays a series of permanent and temporary exhibitions throughout the year. - Country walk in the town
    Architectural Buildings
    Fredericia Vold image
When I learnt that our cruise ship was to make a stop at this small Danish town I was not sure how we could fill the day. A little research told me that the old ramparts were worth a look and, in the event, that’s what we did. On docking it felt like the whole town had turned out to welcome us (it was the ship’s first visit) and there were numerous Tourist Information staff to help. Armed with a map we were able to make our way around with no trouble. On the walk, while studying the map, a local stopped and offered his assistance; everyone was so friendly! It was just like a country walk, affording us lovely views and we were virtually on our own! Look out for their interpretation of pedestrian traffic lights – as a salute to the "Landsoldat" statue. In the History Centre Dybbol Banke you step directly into the events of the dramatic war of 1864. You become be part of the drama and you will learn more about one of the most important battles in the Danish history. Experience history with all your senses: When you enter the territory, you will hear how the thunder of cannons is blended with the shouting and crying of injured soldiers. Go on your journey of exploration and find out, how a correct redoubt is built. Look into the barracks in the "soldiers' town" behind the front where the young and tired soldiers try to get some rest between the bloody battles. The war 1864 resulted in the disappearance of the multinational Danish nation state. Denmark developed into a national small state and got a part of Southern Jutland in form of Schleswig back. Prussia grew into the expanding German Empire which later sank and developed then into the Federal Republic Germany we know today. Therefore, the war in Dybbol is a central landmark in the European history. If you are ready to occupy the History Centre, then we are ready to offer you a very special adventure. Fascinating, entertaining, but also really serious. See more..
