  3. 5.0 Rak Winery (196 reviews)
    - Best winery visit I've ever had - service and hospitality
    Friday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Rak Winery image
Winery Rak focuses on the production of grapes and wine in Dubrava, near Šibenik, under a specific climate in the Dalmatian area, and we take our pride in the cultivation and production of three autochthonous wine sorts: Babić, Debit and Maraština and from Babić grapes we also produce opolo and rose. Viticulture is long family tradition, which started in 1960-s, and we maintain the tradition today. Honoring the tradition, as our inherited love for vineyards and wines, we use the modern technology and equipment, keeping up with modern standards in the fields of grapevine cultivation and quality wine production. Our family business includes a tasting room, where you can taste our wines and eat homemade culinary specialties! See you in Winery Rak! See more..

    - Highly recommend
    Friday: 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Wine Garden image
A gem in the small town of Skradin. You could spend the whole day sipping wine while eating cheese and prosciutto. It's a modest place with pleasant and relaxed service. If you are lucky you can spot a turtle munching on flowers or swimming in the pond with the other fish. When you go there you will forget your worries. When you leave, you realize how special the place is. See more..
  5. 5.0 Sladic Winery (31 reviews)
    - Excellent family wines
    Friday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
    Sladic Winery image
We drove as a couple to Sladic Winery from Sibenik after having tasted one of their wines (Debit 2018) in renowned Michelin-starred restaurant Pelegrini. Marko Sladic himself let us try 6 of their wines, we appreciated the informal home setting and the generous portions. He even provided bread, cheese and olive oil to enrich the tasting experience. The whites (Marastina, Debit) were complex with an appropriate level of acidity. The rose was on the strong side. The reds (Plavina, Lasin) were earthy, medium-body with significant amounts of tanins. We also tried the limited edition dessert wine (Deorum) which was excellent, with the right amount of sweetness and liquorish. We were extremely satisfied with the experience and bought a few bottles in the end. Highly recommended for a low key tasting of high quality family wine in Croatia. See more..

    - Lovely island village.
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Churches & Cathedrals
Hilltop 15th Century Church of St. George in Old Town Primosten image
Primosten is accessed by a short bridge from the Croatian mainland and it is a short walk past shops and old housing to the top of the town where the church, first built in 1483 is sited overlooking the sea. The cemetery on the cliff next to the church is particularly interesting. It was then very pleasant to walk back down into the town square to sit and have an ice cream or drink. See more..
  8. 4.5 Velika Raduća Beach (175 reviews)
    - Just great beach to take the rest on !
    Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
    Velika Raduća Beach image
In the summer 2004 year, as I said in my previous review about Trogir City, we spent our vacation in the gorgeous dalmatian little town, Primosten near the Sibenik to the north. We particularly loved the very nice,Velika Raduca Beach. Here in Primosten, wherever You go, there are some cute,small-pebbled beaches, ideal to be on, either for bathing, swimming, diving or taking the sun. This beach is located on the isle of Raduc and is one of the oldest and most popular beaches of Croatia. No wonder that Primosten is also called, "the beach city", since the total length of the beaches is 20 km. If You come here in this region of Croatian sea coast, that is, between the Sibenik and Split, do not miss this very pleasant place. As to the beach, it is very well equipped, with showers, toilets, changing cubicles, trampolines for children, chaise lounges, umbrellas and catamarans. It is a living monument of culture that includes a museum, exhibition galleries and a restaurant. The fortress is located 345 m above sea level and about 100 m above the Town of Knin, it is 470 m long, and on its highest part it is 110 m wide. The defensive walls are about 2 km long. See more..
  11. 4.5 Bibich Winery (108 reviews)
    - Fantastic Dining and Wine Tasting Expericence
Friday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Wineries & Vineyards
    Bibich Winery image
My wife and I enjoyed a late afternoon food tasting with wine paring at Bibich Winery on Tuesday May 31, 2022 and it was FANTASTIC! We ate at many fine restaurants while in Croatia including, Pellgrini, and Monte, but while they presented beautiful dishes they lacked the intense flavors that Bibich's chef Vensa was able to present to us. Her dishes looked amazing and tasted even better with an excellent wine paring with each dish. Also our waiter stayed by us for the whole meal expertly explaining each and every dish and wine. This meal was the HIGHLIGHT of our Culinary tour of Croatia. We highly recommend Bibich Winery and thanks for a great tasting experience. See more..

Our Lady Of Loretto Statue image
The statue itself is beautiful, but the view is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend coming here to enjoy the sunset over Primošten and nearby villages. Also, there’s a bar, so you can enjoy coffee or beer and there’s also an icecream for your kids. Must visit while in Primošten! See more..
  13. 4.5 Adriatic Coast (78 reviews)
    - Dubrovnik to Split - Katarina cruises - The Antonella
    Geologic Formations
    Adriatic Coast image
We were on a 7 day cruise from Gruz, Dubrovnik to Split. We stopped at 2 islands per day (including Mljet, Korcula, Brac, Hvar, Omis, to name but a few), with at least one swim stop every day in some deserted bay along the way. Every night the boat was docked overnight so you had the opportunity to spend the evening. The food on board was amazing considering the size kitchen chef Monika had to work with. Sime the barman/host was brilliant making sure everyone was looked after. Friends you make onboard will become friends for life (if you want them to be) or you can find peace and quiet onboard if this is what you are seeking. This is an excellent way of seeing some the Adratic highlights and we would definitely recommend. See more..
  14. 4.5 Cigrada Beach (69 reviews)
    - Sheltered pool, beach, rocks and small port.
    Beaches
    Cigrada Beach image
We took a 20 km tour of the island highlights that included this beach. No charge to park in the off season with the restaurants closed and no one around. It's easy to see the wide appeal of this spot with the calm pool to swim, the nice beach to lay out, the rugged low rocks for the youth to climb about and even a small port. Today it was sheltered from the high winds from the southeast experienced in Tisno. See more..

  16. 4.0 Krka National Park (5.111 reviews)
    - Good gentle walk with spectacular views onto the Skradinski Buk waterfall
Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours National Parks
    Krka National Park image
Host to a wide range of wildlife, this nature reserve along the lower Krka River is known for its pristine waterfalls. Hop on a 25-minute ferry ride from the entrance to reach the Skradinski buk waterfall—the park’s main attraction. You won’t get to swim at this waterfall, but you can join a boat tour to the Roski Slap falls afterward and have a refreshing dip in the crystal clear pools. Don’t miss the quiet hiking trails within the park too. Krka National Park is about 55 miles from Split, making it a fantastic day trip when visiting southern Croatia. – Tripadvisor See more..
  17. 4.0 The Cathedral of St James in Sibenik (1.129 reviews)
    - 2000 UNESCO Cathedral.
Historic Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
The Cathedral of St James in Sibenik image
We visited this 2000 UNESCO site today, arriving after the 9 AM service on a cloudy morning. After paying 30 kn each, we walked the bland gloomy interior to inspect its high points; 1589 bishop tomb, 105’ high dome, and the lacy ceiling of the 1473 baptistery. We had taken exterior photos of the Main Portal, Lion Portal, rows of the sculpted heads to the baptistery in yesterday’s afternoon sun. Our tickets included the new Interpretive Center where we spent more time reading the 3 floors of exhibits detailing the 104 year construction of this cathedral, including the primary builders, financial difficulties of raising 80,000 ducats, and the multi-stage process of sculpting solid stones into a row of faces. We strolled the nearby cobbled medieval streets/alleys where “Arya” wandered and fought when blind in several “Game of Thrones” scenes. See more..
  18. 4.0 National Park Krka Waterfalls (931 reviews)
    - Beautiful but under threat
Spent More than 3 hours Waterfalls
    National Park Krka Waterfalls image
We absolutely loved coming to the waterfalls and being able to swim but completely understand the need to stop people swimming to protect it. The banks of the river are being destroyed by people getting in and out of the water. We got the boat over from Skradin, swam, ate lunch in the restaurant, walked the loop around the falls (definitely recommend you do that, it’s stunning) and then walked 5km back to the car at Skradin via a beautiful path alongside the lake. It’s an easy walk to enjoy the scenery. See more..
  19. 4.0 St. Michael's Fortress (627 reviews)
    - A must but go in the morning
    Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites
    St. Michael's Fortress image
St. Michael’s Fortress is the oldest one in Šibenik. It was first mentioned in 1066 and it is the place where the city was born. Fortress was built to control and defend the Šibenik lagoon and the mouth of the river Krka. The strength of the ramparts made the fortress the dominant protector of the area. Today St. Michael’s Fortress is important cultural and historical monument. You can tour the fortress with an audio guide and view 3D mapping projections in its interior. The fortress is mostly recognizable by its outdoor stage which became one of the most prestigious regional stages in a short period of time. See more..

  21. 4.0 Town Hall Sibenik (271 reviews)
    - Beautiful place - lovely touch to the city (expensive)
    Architectural Buildings
    Town Hall Sibenik image
On arrival we went straight for the town hall as we knew it is the monument and one place which is the centre of the town and one of the main attractions. When we got to the entrance we seen everyone leaving and so did we as the price to enter the town hall was rather expensive 30kn - yes it is not alot if you are staying in Sibenik for a few days but if you sre there for a day it is expensive. However you could tell it looked lovely inside, but we got some great images of the place from the outside. Definitely a recommendation for this place. See more..
  22. 4.0 Medieval Mediteranean Garden (246 reviews)
    - Well worth a trip ...a beautiful oasis in the medieval town
    Gardens
    Medieval Mediteranean Garden image
This beautiful little garden is a hidden gem, right in the centre of the medieval town of Sibenik. A peaceful little oasis, with local trees, shrubs and herbs, layed out in a formal stlye, with a water feature at the centre. There is also an excellent cafe with plenty of shady outdoor seating under a pergola, offering, amonst other things, the most wonderful fresh lemonade (add sugar!) and very nice salads, pasta, iced coffee etc. See more..
  23. 4.0 Krka National Park (213 reviews) from $7.60
    - Beautiful but busy
    National Parks
    Krka National Park image
We parked at Skardin and bought our ticket there so we had the free boat cruise to the main waterfalls (Skradinski buk). There only seemed to be one walk way taking this route around Skradinski buk which was lovely however very very busy with lots of people just posing for the perfect photo rather than taking in the beauty around them. If we were to visit again we would hire bikes or take a different entrance so that we could appreciate the beauty of the park without the crowds. Swimming in the lake at the bottom of Skradinski buk was not that pleasurable as it was just so crowded. It was difficult to get in and out and it is a real tourist trap. It might be the best waterfall but that is why there are so many people there and also where the restaurants and shops are which just take away from the nature. See more..
  24. 4.0 Roski Slap (198 reviews)
    - One of the best experiences of mine.
Nature & Wildlife Areas • Waterfalls
    Roski Slap image
We got there at 18:40 and just had 20 minutes to visit, which was nothing. But nobody was there and the lake was so quiet and calm. The view was perfect in the sunset light and it turned to one of the most memorable moments of our trip. See more..

    - Great sight, a bit expensive ticket

  26. 4.0 Visovac Monastery (120 reviews)
    - excellent
    Historic Sites • Religious Sites
    Visovac Monastery image
Visovac is a little island owned by the Catholic Church, situated in the area of the lower flow of the river Krka between two waterfalls in Krka National Park - the Roski waterfall and Skradinski buk. Prior to human habitation of the island, it was only a "White rock" in the middle of the lake. It got today's shape thanks to the work of the priests that brought the land to the shallow water and separated it from the water with a wall, so the island with its vegetation became a "little paradise". 28. 4.0 Skradinski Buk Waterfall (93 reviews)
    - Well worth the journey
Spent More than 3 hours Waterfalls
    Skradinski Buk Waterfall image
It's relatively easy to get the bus from Split to the Krka National Park although it's best to prebook bus tickets as they get pretty full even though its no longer peak season. You can easily spend either a full or half day at the park but we spent the afternoon just at the Skradinski Buk falls which are beautiful. The entrance ticket includes the cost of the boat trip to the falls & is a great start to the visit. Avoid the food & drink offering inside the park as what's available in the village of Skradin is much nicer & reasonably priced See more..
