Wine, olive oil, nature. Our story began in the 1990s when we started off our own family cultivation of olives and grapes for our own needs. We have since moved to organic and biodynamic farming. Here you'll find natural istrian malvasia and merlot wines, extra virgin olive oil (leccino, bianchera, pendolino) from hand picked olives, our tiny Ouessant sheep, chickens, dogs and cats See more..
  3. 5.0 Agricultural Trade Vivoda (7 reviews)
    - Wine tasting in beautiful Rovinj, Istria, Croatia
    Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards
    Agricultural Trade Vivoda image
Beautiful Rovinj on the Istrian coast in Croatia boasts several excellent wineries. We have visited five and Vivoda is an excellent choice. Like so many wineries in this area, it is a family owned and run winery. The wines are white Malvasia (which carries the IQ (Istrian Quality) mark), (they have a one year old (young) Malvasia and a delightful two year old. Most local wineries make an “orange” wine which (for Vivoda) is a Malvasia that spent 10 days fermenting on skins and a further 10 days on skins before pressing and storing. Every local winery makes a Teran, a local red grape, and a Merlot, both of which were delicious. The wine tasting is free, some other wineries charge and provide some food tasting samples. See more..

    - Beautiful climb at night and in the morning.

    Church of St. Euphemia image
We made our 2nd visit before gaining entry to this largest baroque church in Istria, built in 1736. Both last evening and this morning we walked the easiest and prettiest polished cobblestone street from the main square, a 300 m climb from the 1680 Venetian Balbis Arch, passing restaurants and small art and pottery shops. This clear Friday morning, we came at 10 AM but it was nearly 10:30 AM before a man arrived on a scooter to open the side and main entry. While other early arrivals went to climb the 197’ tower (20 hrk), our goal was to see the painted chapel with the 6th C Roman sarcophagus containing the relics of St. Euphemia. After seeing the upper wall’s fine sea views, we descended the easy sloping walkway that wound around to the southern port, 900m back to the main square. See more..

Golden Cape (Zlatni rt/Punta corrente), Kurent Bay and Montauro Cape are located around 1.5 km away from the town-center, south of the ACI Marina and Lone Bay.The coast is mostly rocky. There are a few beaches covered with small round stones, and Kurent Bay, the most visited beach in this area, covered with gravel. Kurent Cape is on the eastern side (see map). The beaches are rocky and the access to the sea is not easy. At Kurent Cape you will also find a pier where you can temporarily tie your boat and there is also a small gravel-covered bay. See more..
  9. 4.5 Main Street (294 reviews)
    - Beautiful stroll

    Main Street image
We went walking from our hotel Lone towards the old city of Rovijn en it was just a little too hot to walk with the kids, around 35 degrees, but besides that the city is just beautiful and it's full of cozy corners with amazing structures of the old city which for me looks like venetia very much and by the harvor it's just Saint Tropez. It's well worth the visit to the city. We also talked towards the highest point which is where the church of Santa Eugenia is and went all the way up to the tower of the chapel en the view is stunning. It's a must see case there you can see the whole city of Rovijn en for me.that was the best photo location of whole Rovijn . See more..

We went for a one day trip with taxi boat and it was everything we hoped for. Clean, peaceful and wonderful. There is a few thing you could see on the island but I recomend to just enjoy clean blue sea and drink few coctails in beach bar. Mind body and soul reset ! See more..
  11. 4.5 Katarina Island (138 reviews)
    - Wonderful, not crowded, great views of Rovinj
    Islands
    Katarina Island image
If you take a boat trip, take it to Katarina island. We did this economical trip 3 times during our 3 days in Rovinj. It costs substantially less than the glass bottom boat excursion and is a superior value. There are ruins on the island, a great small museum, an observatory tower, a hotel, and an outdoor restaurant. We spent about an hour on each visit, and enjoyed the boat trip and the island so much that we did the trip 3 times. there is a walking trail thru the greenery, and many types of shrubs and plants. There are spectacular views of Rovinj. See more..
  12. 4.5 Stancija Collis (114 reviews)

    Stancija Collis image
We had the most incredible experience. The tour was super informative and interesting. Afterwards we were treated to the best wine and cheese/meat/olive oil tasting. Even though we jumped in with a big tour group, Sasha made a point to make us feel included. He taught us a ton about the farm and croatia in general. The fresh goat cheese was the best I’ve ever had. We could not be more satisfied with our experience and felt it was a great price. We left with 2 bottles of wine and a new croatian friend. 13. 4.5 Cuvi Beach (82 reviews)
    - Nice, local beach
Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
    Cuvi Beach image
Nice, local and quiet beach. You can always find a quiet place to relax. The water is clean and nice but the entrance to the water could be better. There are some places with pebbles but it is mostly rocky (so water shoes are necessary). This beach is great for snorchling as there are many fish in the water. The beach offers some places with concrete where you can lie or you can chose grass. There are many trees so you can always find a shady place. There is a small bar and shower/toilet facility (but you must pay for using it). See more..

Beautiful narrow street with lots of lovely tasteful craft shops and restaurants perched just above the sea. Would advise flat shoes or trainers as the surface is very uneven and slippy through wear and tear of the flagstones. Great place for photographs surprises around every turn. See more..

If you are interested in Bronze Age settlements, this is a not to miss site, which involves about a half a mile walk from the car park. The various parts of the site are well marked with didactic/educational panels with photos and texts in several languages. Church of the Holy Trinity (Crkva Svetog Trojstva) image
After exploring the steep narrow streets that you would just love to get lost in, we made our way up to the church. We didn't climb the bell tower though. Inside was so pretty. It was like walking into a museum. They didn't have a problem with us taking pictures either. There were a few things you could purchase there but we didn't. Outside probably has the best view in the city. It was our first stop in Croatia. I can't wait to visit again See more..
  18. 4.5 Škaraba Beach (23 reviews)
    - A great beach with many options
Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
    Škaraba Beach image
I loved Skaraba Beach. There’s something for everyone with loads of small coves, rocky areas if you want to get straight into deep water, plenty of shade, and a couple of Cafe/bar spots, rentable loungers, etc. You have to walk from the road and when it’s busy I imagine parking is tricky. 19. 4.5 Galeria Adris (11 reviews)
    - Small, spacious place for excellent exhibitions (not always) at the end of Riva
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Galeria Adris image
Visit it in next two weeks. It is a unique opportunity. They have very nice exhibition with just 38 works of Slovenian/ Italian and French painter Zoran Music (1909-2005) from some bearish beginnings to nice views of Venice, some boats, some drawings. You can see famous “We are not the last” paintings from Dachau and amazing Self-portrait. It is not a boring exhibition with hundreds of pictures. You can get a catalogue with English explanation. No entrance fee. A must if you are near Rovinj till the end of the month October. It is worth a trip. You will have enough time to go to lunch before or dinner later. A problem is that it is open just at the evenings. See more..

    Mulini Beach image
Not as clear of water as on the island of Hvar, but probably warmer. It’s tough wading without shoes since being so gravelly. Cheap plastic sun recliners can be rented. Plenty of shady spots above the beach. You can walk along the promenade for about a mile. Paid parking a short distance. See more..

  24. 4.0 Igreja Romanica Da Santissima Trindade (27 reviews)
    - Oldest structure in Rovinj with a surprise inside!
    Spent < 1 hour Churches & Cathedrals
Igreja Romanica Da Santissima Trindade image
This hexagonal structure dating back to Roman times (1st or 2nd century I believe) is easily seen right beside the main bus terminal and signals the start of the road into the old town. Check out the weathered stone window on the left side when your facing the door! Inside a kind, local Croatia woman had made it her mission to preserve this historical site by maintaining a small art studio inside and happily provides visitors with a history of the structure. Unique acoustics as well as a glimpse of the past this free site is great for a quick visit! See more..
  25. 4.0 Monte Mulini (25 reviews)
    - very professional hotel- stand out staff
Spent 1-2 hours Mountains • Parks
    Monte Mulini image
Probably the best staff I have come across, very well trained - nice job whoever is in charge of the staffing. We didnt eat out of the hotel at all , the choices where high quality and with 5 places to eat why bother for a week. We ventured into Rovinj one night and it was heaving ,q' s outside all the eateries- wasn't worth the bother as the quality in the hotel was great. As there where 3 of us we had a suite which was great as we had plenty of room . Very relaxing - never seen a hotel with someone walking around with a hawk to keep the seagulls away. See more..

  28. 3.5 Town Clock (168 reviews)
    - A remnant of a glorious Venetian time
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Town Clock image
This is a nice remnant of a Venetian past. The late-Renaissance clock tower is located on the main town square in Rovinj. Apparently it once represented the tower on the south corner of the former town walls. The town clock features the distinguishing Venetian lion. It's just one of a number of interesting features in the centre of this lovely old town. See more..

    Fountain on Main Square image
I am very fond of this fountain as I first spotted it from afar on a live webcam, and watched all the comings and goings around it. This webcam was what inspired my interest in visiting this lovely town, and it was very fulfilling to actually physically be there beside this charming and endearing bronze statue with it's drinking water fountain. There are certainly a lot of guided tours taken to and around it, so it must be well thought of. 30. 3.0 Rovinj Aquarium (Ruder Boskovic Institute) (67 reviews)
    - small but sweet

Rovinj Aquarium (Ruder Boskovic Institute) image
OK so its little but it only costs about £2.50 to get in. There are probably about 15 or so tanks in there with a nice collection of local fish and sea creatures. Well labelled and presented, if you take your time and look closely there is more to see than you might initially expect. Spent about an hour in here and loved the fact it was native species.
