   We had a fantastic private (speed)boat tour this week. What a nice experience!! Owner takes good account of the weather situation to ensure an optimal and safe boat trip. We saw many beautiful places around Cape Kamenjak and several uninhabited islands in the Medulin Riviera: beautiful water caves, fish, dinosaur footprints, rare plants ... .    Absolutely amazing 5 hour boat trip. Guide was professional, very helpful, nice and very good at observing the needs of our trip as a family. We did cave snorkeling, cliff jumping, visited an island with Dino prints and also had a nice snack, lots of water included and also a stop at a lovely restaurant by the sea.    Potaman is a recently opened shop with a bar venue, selling local craft food and drinks: truffles, olive oil, cheese, drinks … you name it. The venue name means ‘just right’ in the local dialect. And it is so. There is a street bar in front, which gets quite busy at night (see picture). They offer interesting cocktails made only from local ingredients, so do not expect aperol spritz or like.    We enjoyed our day here greatly. Pleased we took advice of other reviewers and arrived early (c9am); parked super close to the bay and had the choice of where on the beach to sit! Water is crystal clear, no boats, no rubbish, sandy just a few strides out, but don’t forget beach shoes as it’s pebbly and rocky on the shore. Refreshments hut is ok - range of drinks, pre-boxed salads, hot dogs, burgers etc. A very relaxing and beautiful spot. See more..

   I found out about Monachus on a design blog and immediately fell in love with the design of their bottles. So while on my trip to Croatia I knew I had to visit the Distillery. Before the tasting, we got behind the scene look of gin distilling, and along the way, we learned about the history of gin, and the story of Monachus Distillery. Anja & Luka were wonderful hosts, ready to answer any questions we had, and you can really tell that they poured their hearts into creating the distillery and the spirits. The gin, which is made from local ingredients that grow on the Istrian peninsula, was delicious and the other spirits we have tried were just as good. If you find yourself on Istria I highly recommend you visit the distillery and I assure you after the tasting you will want to bring some bottles home just as we did.    it is a park of nature with the most beautiful turquoise sea...breathtaking view of endless see, small coves, pine smell.....it is definitely worth visiting. However, you should do it in the morning or evening, otherwise it's too crowded and you miss the point. Pinžule is one of the most beautiful coves. And don't miss Safari Bar, all in bamboo ,with great cheese and olives and sardines and local red wine.. See more..

   I would definitely recommend Kamenjak as a day trip from Pula, the bus only took around 30 minutes and was quite reliable, then it's a walk from the bus stop and free entry. Getting round the park on foot is quite long, a car would be much easier! I wanted to see as much as possible so arrived around 8am and barely saw anyone on the first few beaches. By around 10am it was getting a lot busier. I walked around the majority of the park, leaving around 4pm but this was a huge amount of walking in one day. The park itself is very beautiful, the dust makes it look very ethereal and I didn't have an issue with cars driving fast like others mentioned. I did visit the safari bar which is cash only, and nice to get a fresh lemonade and take in the views. The bays/beaches I would recommend in particular are Radovica and Plovanije. All of that side is particularly stunning in my opinion! See more..

    The beach Njive is one of the beautiful beaches on the southern part of the cape Kamenjak (Kamenjak National Park ). It is located in a beautiful picturesque bay. The central part of the beach is covered with gravel and small pebbles. The sides of the beach are rocky and flat. Entrance into the sea is very shallow and suitable for families with kids, young and old. Swimming and sunbathing in the area of this protected landscape is truly a wonderful experience.     During our stay in Medulin we daily drove to kamenjak to spend the day in one of the many beautiful beaches in the national park. We often walked to this beach, as it is located immediately after our favorite beach, and despite being rather small it's extremely charming and the waters are, as everywhere else though, crystal-clear. In the morning the place was mostly deserted, it got a bit more crowded in the afternoon though. If you get the chance to visit Kamejak I recommend a visit to this lovely beach, too. See more..

    If you are a fan of extreme sports, the heat is here for you .. The place for jumping is excellent, you can jump from a height of 1 meter and 7 meters, a place for swimming is also enough.     Not a lot of people go here, but the thing is - you have FLAT rocks! Good things: flat rocks to lie on, more private, clear water. Not so good: not place to put up a parasol, small stones - no sad Solution: go from 07-09 and bring some swimming shoes (don't know how you call them) then go to the Safari Bar for coffee.     We found a,k the kayak tours were booked in Pula so rang the Premantura company. It was easy to get to by bus from Pula. The kayaking day was really good value for money, so much time kayaking and exploring. They gave use snorkels and flippers which was great as I’d not brought one to Croatia. The lunch stop was a lovely chilled cafe on the cliff above the sea and it was very relaxing. We got to see dinosaurs footprints, explore the sea around little islands by snorkel, visit some nice caves, and the guide had a GoPro if you wanted to have photos taken in the Water. The guide was brilliant, really polite, professional and always made sure everyone was safe and happy. We couldn’t be happier that we spent our last day of our trip on this activity. If you are hardy young women like us you can cope without jelly shoes, but some people who have them might want to bring them as walking on hot/jagged rocks isn’t for everyone. See more..
