3.5Zhangmu Treaty Port(19 reviews) - An Indian in China without Passport Points of Interest & Landmarks • Public Transportation Systems
Went there sometimes back. We cross-over through Friendship Bridge from Nepal side to China. We were allowed to go up to 3KM inside China. We did not have passport with us and border guards only checked our Indian driver licence. We have to write down our name in their log-book. There is a small market with dirt cheap Chinese goods. We roamed freely and took photographs. Bought one DVD player. Came back to Nepal side of the Friendship Bridge and stayed for the night in a dormitory lodge for INR250 per person. Had good chowmin dinner.See more..

3.5Kadinggou Scenic Spot(8 reviews) - Interesting natural carving on the walls of Kadinggou Historic Walking Areas
I enjoyed Kadinggou because I have a tour guide who patiently take photo and explain to us where the interesting attractions are. It is hard or impossible to see them without her help. The air is fresh and cool in the mid of September.See more..
It is called Panchen New Palace by some and it is called Little Potala by some. But it is surely a palace for Panchen. It is smaller than Potala Palace and Shigatse is always considered to be "Houzang" of Tibet. houzang means the backyard of Tibet? Panchen is a tittle, only secondary to Dalai and sometimes go over. Have not got a chance to get in but it needs entrance fee, not very touristy so a nice place to see when you have time in Shigatse.See more..
3.5Pala Manor(5 reviews) - Something well worthwhile Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours History Museums
Pala Manor, a well-preserved serf manor, is situated at the Banjorlhunbo Village, 10 minutes’ drive from Gyantse County, Shigatse, Tibet. Once there were a large scale of 37 affiliated small manors, 22 smallholdings, and six lots of grasslands. More than 14,250 cattle were grazed in the grassland with around 2,440 slaves worked on the estate. The slaves needed to do general farm labor, wine production, knitting and sewing, etc. to run the whole manor. There was no human right for the serfs, they were working under harshly treatment and none of them have freedom.See more..

3.5Zhaxi Peninsula(4 reviews) - The only place to stay overnight in Namtso Islands
Staying overnight is the best thing to do as we can avoid the crowds of tourists from Lhasa staying for few hours and enjoy the breathless sunset. Zhaxi Peninsula is the only place to stay in Namtso. It provides temporary accomodation, which provides comforatble beds for RMB180. (another choice would be RMB120) No bathroom facilities (anywhere). There is a public temp toliet, but I dare not step inside. It's quite cold at night, better to bring your warm clothes. You can enjoy millions of stars when you brush your teeth in the open air. I even see the galaxy clearly! Climb up the little hill for the sunrise the next morning. What a wonderful world.See more..
During our Mount Kailash yatra we stayed in this Pulan Market area in a hotel called Pulan hotel, it's an average hotel, some of the rooms had attached toilet, but due to water scarcity water was kept in drums,it was very uncomfortable, we stayed for 2days for high altitude acclamation. Pulan Market is a street market with all the items available in different shops, from the provision shop I bought some fruits and bottle drinks to use it during our trek. I bought a Down jacket for 100yuvans, we can bargain here, in fact bargaining is must to save some money, I bargained from 250 to 100yuvans. Happy travelling... S M Bega Raaj.See more..
3.0Biri Mountain(4 reviews) - Museum was closed!! Mountains
This place was the option-B from our local tour guide. And apparently none of us was satisfied with this option. The outdoor nature reserve was nothing special and the museum was closed due to power black out - I can't give any review for the museum. We just walked around the museum, took pictures of the three goats statues and wild flowers. It was out of no where and disappointed.See more..
The drive up this mountain was at time sbit hair rasing , other traffic, and not really sure about road rulles. Also there is no problem with drivers in this part of the world talking on their mobiles while navigating hair pin bends! But the scenery was amazing and beautiful. Many locals put up their wishes in the form of coloured flags as high up as possible - each flag has a particular wish written on them.See more..
3.5Kejia Temple(2 reviews) - So peaceful !!! Religious Sites
This temple is on the way from Nepal border Hilsa and Tibet's ( China) border town Takalakot , when we travel to Mt Kailash we will pass this blissful temple , but our travel agents won't include this temple in their itinerary and they will charge 200 yuvans (Rs.2100/-) per person for a 18km travel and an entrance fees of 30yuvans to enter this temple. We can light candles inside the temple after praying to God , the candles are prized from 5yuvans to 50yuvans depending up on the size of the candle . Must visit when we are to MT Kailash yathra. Loving you so much ... Peacefully yours ... S M Bega Raaj.See more..
Reting (also spelled Rating and Radreng) was built in the early 11th century, but destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and only partly rebuilt. It is worth a visit if you’re in the area, maybe post Namtso. Small, so it won’t take long. See more..
