- 5.0 Green Leaf Eco Tourism (36 reviews)
-My favorite time in Bangladesh was in Sreemangal thanks to Green Leaf Eco Tourism!
Friday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Eco Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
Yusuf was the best local guide I could dream for! Adaptable to my wish and speed, we discovered Hum Hum Waterfall in all its wonders. First by the hills (up & down) and then by the river, very unique. We explored and went at our own rythm, took a little swim in the waterfalls! Yusuf know well the communities (tea shops, restaurants etc.) so we met great people and ate in the best place in the village! The whole journey was facilitated by Tapas & Green Leaf Eco Tourism, with a very personal care for what I was looking for. Visiting Sreemangal was definitely my favorite time in Bangladesh, thanks to great and dedicated people! A little detour can be made at Chamung Restaurant, where nature, ecology and calm find a peaceful balance (not to mention good food & good staff). See more..

Thank you Sourav for a wonderful two days. I normally don't do tours but I met Sourav by chance and I decided to use his services on a trip around the local tea plantations and Madhabpur Lake in Sreemangal. I had such a great time I then decided to extend my stay in Sreemangal for another tour the next day which was just as amazing. Sourav has a wealth of knowledge on Bangladesh and his English is impeccable. Highly recommended. See more..

Russel organized a 4-day private tour for me and my daughter. We went to the national park, visited villages, hiked into beautiful tea plantations and rice fields. Russel is super knowledgeable, very friendly with a great sense of humor. Our trip was a great balance of sightseeing, and hiking with time to rest (much needed when arriving directly from Europe). We enjoyed every minute of our trip ! Thank you Russel ! See more..
- 5.0 Barik Tila (2 reviews)
-Awesome Hill Campsite
Spent 1-2 hours Geologic Formations
I went to barik Tila (Locally known rather as Barikkar Tila) with a friend. It is a nice hill right at the border of India and Bangladesh, You can watch the Jadukata river coming into Bangladesh from India. During rainy season there are nice streams where you can splash yourself up. There is a narrow road to the top of the hill and biking there was absolutely amazing. I heard that in winter it shows another face where the whole hill becomes red from the cotton flowers. You can also set your tent here upon prior permission from the authority. I loved my stay here and I will definitely come back some day. See more..
- 5.0 Hassan Raja Museum (1 review)
-Tribute to Hasan Raja
Spent < 1 hour Speciality Museums • Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks
Hason Raja (Bengali: হাসন রাজা, Sylheti, Bangladesh was a Bengali mystic poet and songwriter from Sylhet, Bengal Presidency (now Bangladesh). His unique style of music made him one of the most prominent figures in Bengali culture. Raja was born on 21 December 1854 in Lakshmansree, now Sunamganj. His father was Dewan Ali Raja, a direct descendant of Birendraram Singhdev (later converted from Hinduism to Islam and renamed as Dewan Raja Babu Khan). Hason Raja's mother was Hurmutjan Bibi, the last and fifth wife of Ali Raja. Hason Raja spent most of his childhood in Lakshmansree with his mother as his father married widow of his first cousin late Amir Baksh Chowdhury who was living at Lahshmansree (Sunamganj) the most north-eastern part of now Bangladesh. His father started on and off living in Lakshmanshree of Sunamganj, 33 miles away from Rampasha, for at least three or four months of the year. Ali supervised and managed his wife's properties at Lakshmansree. That is why Lakshmansree, Sunamganj was his birthplace of the poet. The death of Raja's elder step-brother, Ubaidur Raja, followed by the death of his father (in about 40 days gap), put the power and responsibility of the whole family upon Hason Raja at a very young age. Two museums were established in his name in two places. One, Hason Raja Museum sponsored by "Hason Raja Museum Trust" at Sunamganj[7] at his birthplace, Lokkonshri, Sunamganj, and another, Museum of Rajas' at RajaKunjo, Sylhet, sponsored by "Educationist Dewan Talibur Raja Trust". -Close to India
Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 2-3 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
The hills in India loomed unexpectedly through the clouds like distant sentinels. As we got closer, I saw that the two closest hills here were separated by a canyon. Bangladesh ended where the hills started, but the view was breathtaking. Our boat came to a stop at a small island of stone, right at the border. See more..
- 4.5 Madhabpur Lake (53 reviews)
-Beautiful
Friday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Bodies of Water • Nature & Wildlife Areas
A wonderful place to walk and relax around the lake. One neeeds strength to walk a long path and climb hilly areas. The paths are uneven, but worth taking the trouble. From top, the view of the lake which crisscrossed many hilly areas can be seen. The lake is over 3 km and needs almost a day to cover. Good for cooler days. Summer heat could be unbearable. Better to carry small water bottles. Those who cannot walk can just sit on the cemented chairs and enjoy the beauty of nature. See more..

- 4.5 Baikka Beel Wetland Sanctuary (18 reviews)
-If you enjoy nature, don't miss this
Friday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
Other reviewers say you need a 4WD, not so if you drive carefully! We set out early but it was foggy. This eventually cleared and we saw herons, kingfishers, bee eaters, lots of wading birds and in the distance a wild cat (jungle cat?). There was evidence of fishing cats but did not see one. Really lovely location with an observation post and walking areas to explore. There's a small cafe there too. See more..
- 4.5 Satchari National Park (18 reviews)
-Monkey haven
Friday: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM National Parks • Parks
Situated on the Chunarughat-Madhabpur road just a deviation from Dhaka-Sylhet highway takes about 30-45 minutes drive to reach the main gate. The road itself is a pleasant drive through tea gardens. There are 3 trails- 30 mins, 1 hr and 3 hrs each. We didn't have enough time to explore any of them so ghe kind staff Mr. Tuhin who also sells tickets took us for a short walk of 10 mins through the palm trees just next to entrance. There were 2 types of wild monkeys playing on trees. Rhesus and the other type he said Lion Monkeys because of their mane like hair. I think that's a local name. There are nice trees and the jungle itself was full of birds. Tuhin said there's a Forest office guest house where you could stay if you take permission from them beforehand. It's not possible to get permission on the spot. There's a Tripura village just next to the forest. If you're respectful to their culture, you can possibly spend some time there too. I would go back for a longer stay. See more..

- 4.5 Ham Ham Waterfall (14 reviews)
-Adventurous!!
Friday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Waterfalls
great place for young adventurers. take a bangladeshi guide before you start. the "pahari" guides are often drunk. i myself saw one who took a group of people and started acting up midway. so its better to avoid them. there are two paths leading to hamham. the hilly path and the water path. you can take one while going and the other while returning. the hilly path is shorter but the water path is much more beautiful. take saline with you. the best (and the riskiest) time to go to hamham is the rainy season. the you can see the waterfall at its full majesty. in winter the water dries up so its not the best time to go. it takes almost 2hours to reach the waterfall and another 2 hours to come back. so prepare yourself physically and mentally. aged people and people with low stamina are not encouraged to go. - 4.5 Hakaluki Haor (11 reviews)

Haor area is a very beautiful place used by local tourists due to its nice food and lovely wetland environment. It is so green but note that the area in flooded during wet season. - 4.5 Hum Hum Water Falls (3 reviews)
-Beautiful Bangladesh- Hum Hum Water Falls, Sremangol
Waterfalls
Hum hum waterfall is one of the famous and amazing waterfalls located at Razkandi reserve forest in Moulovibazar district. This awesome fall was discovered in the year 2009. From then to now on its track is considered as the adventurous one. You can taste the real adventure to reach there. The fall is about 135-160 feet high from surface level and 11 km distance from base camp. The best time to travel this place is rainy season in Bangladesh. To reach there at the fall you have to start your journey very early in the morning from nearby hotels. Now a days there are so many guides are available to help you reach there. But make sure you fixed the deal about money with your guide. Keep bamboo sticks as a support while moving through the narrow paths. See more..

- 4.0 Ali Amjad Clock Tower (46 reviews)
-Ali Amjad's Clock Tower. the oldest 'Big Ben' of Bangladesh
Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Observation Decks & Towers
Ali Amjad's clock tower, the Big Ben of Sylhet is the the oldest and first clock tower of Bangladesh. It is a popular attraction near the rive side to spend a lovly evening. It is down left to another most 'talk-about' attractions of the city - the Kean Bridge. Ali Amjad Khan, a Nawab of Prithimpassa, built this tower. At far sight, one can easily presume it as a church, because of its structure. Architecture of it is also interesting. Tower is standing one an octagonal base, clock chamber is rectangular and lastly the crest of tower is a triangular pyramid. The clock was presented by jamidar of prothim pasha state Ali Amjad's father Nawab Ali Ahmed Khan, which he was later constructed around 1895. See more..
