The reputation of the bridge and the town of Cuidad del Este intrigued me after hearing stories of gun smuggling and crime in general, but in reality it was pretty ordinary. There was a steady stream of cars and pedestrians crossing the bridge, and entry into Paraguay was problem-free. We didn't actually have the opportunity to walk around Cuidad del Este, but it looked rather fascinating and worth an hour or two of exploration if we'd had time.See more..
