Happy animals! Great maintenance!
Great zoo, much better than the one in Bucharest! Although a bit smaller, it is very well built and organised, the cages are transparent (even the animal's sleeping grounds allow great visbility), so that if you go later in the afternoon you can still see smth. Very happy animals, clearly well looked after, on one of our visits we saw that both the lions and the tigers had cubs, as far as I know big cats don't procreate unless really comfortable and feel safe. You can touch the deer and lamas. They have cangaroos and coati, reptiles and all sorts of lovely animals! My son loves to feed the rabbits and the foxes. The entrance fee is close to nothing, which is also why we visit every chance we get, even if we feel like taking a walk, it sure beats the park! THere is a children's park and a picnic area, but you have to bring your own food and usually there is some birthday going on in that space. Check it out, you'll have a blast!

Clean barnyard tiny zoo with healthy animals
We came here on a scorching hot day with three kids 11, 7 and 3. The 3 year old loved it and the others just wanted to leave. It is more like a farmyard. There were pigs, horses, goats, a llama, chickens, fox, etc. There is a very nice reptile house with fish, lizards, iguana, snakes and an alligator. We did not see any large cats like a jaguar and tiger that are supposedly there nor did a brown bear make an appearance. Think of it as a park with some animals. There is a playground under the beating sun and a nice little souvenir stand outside with cotton candy and some little toys. The cost was super low with 5 of us paying 10 lei.
