A gem of a museum
Another pleasant surprise which came along with the other 2 museums (Casa Baniei and Muzeul Olteniei). We visited this museum with our 6 years old boy and we all enjoyed it a lot. It has paleontological discoveries along with flora and fauna exhibits and also with a small planetarium and some information about the solar system but very nice and well maintained. We were lucky and had the chance to also be part of a movie play in the planetarium. Our little one was amazed :). No matter how old are you, I really recommend a visit over here.

A visit that kids enjoy
Terra Fosillis - the parts of dinosaurus excavated in this region, Planetarium - where the stars are explained , Terrarium and their rare snakes will captivate the kids who will not wish to exit too soon from this Life sciences museum.

Well presented
Gives you a real flavour of what life was like in the Dolj region throughout the ages. An excellent guide to the flora and fauna of the region and especially intersting for families with children. Displays are informative, well lit and the museum has a modern feel.
