So are the fig trees, quinces and other fruit trees not to mention the flowers and luxury vegetation. This monastery is blessed to have such a location over the Danube in full sun. It feels like in heaven. It is a small wood building but well maintained and very quiet. A must see if you pass by to see the breathtaking Danube Gorge. Enjoy!

Great for praying and resting. Awfully bad road to the monastery. Not very much to do in Orșova anyway.

iWas there many times, such a cosy monastery
each time i visit Orsova, it's a must to visit Sf Ana Monastery it's about its story, about its location, about being a little bit closer to God on Spring it's so colorful, so full of flowers, and colors the view to Danube it's so nice the shop of the monastery is interesting to visit, for local products but also for books the location has a generous area for parking, so go up with the car, do not stop on the narrow road
