Danube Valley. Spectacular !

Danube Valley. Simply gorgeos ! The central point is the statue of Decebal the King of the Dacians. Even now, after two thousand years, The,King still guards the borders of his country. The statue is spectacular for it's size and for the carving technique. Like the american presidents, The king of the Dacians is carved directly in the mountain. You can go there either by car or by foot, but the most inspired way would be by boat on the Danube. I will be back for more !

Nice view of the Danube. A boat ride on the Danube is pleasant and worth the price of 40 lei. There is no restaurant worth visiting in Dubova so if you want to eat something in the area probably Orsova/Eselnita is a better choice. We've eaten only big crepes in Dubova.

A wonderful and unique experience
During our visit in Drobeta Turnu Severin we had a great cruise for 3 hours on the Danube Valley. It was so beautiful and we saw of course only from the boat the important objectives: The Tabula Traiana, The Rock Sculpture of Decebalus, Monastery Mraconia, Cave Veterani, Cave Ponicova, Reservation Cazanele Mari and Cazanele Mici. All we saw was fabulous, and he had a wonderful summer day for that with a great blue sky. I recommend such cruise if you come to Drobeta Turnu Severin.
