Great museum.

This is the Ethnography Museum which in my opinion is not to be missed especially if you have kids with you. The building itself is full of history, it's really beautiful and a nice park is surrounding it. The visit of the museum with our boy (6 years old) was nice, pleasant, attractive and quite short. And also the staff smiling and very child friendly. I recommend a visit over here. In my opinion is the heart of Craiova.

    A part of our National tradition and folklore
    I have visited many times, on different occasions, Casa Baniei and I have always found something new and surprising. If you want to learn more about our Regional and National history, our Romanian folklore and traditions, then, I advice you to visit Casa Baniei. The entrance fee is little, so everyone can pay a visit there.

    Oldest building in town.
    Casa Baniei is the oldest historical landmark in Craiova, now accommodating the Etnography Museum which you must not miss. It was destroyed by the turks, then built again and again, the only original part being the cellar. The building's exterior decorations were partiallydestroyed by the last renovations, but you can still see the general image and atmosphere . Moreover there is a beautiful park surrounding it.
