Beautiful mansion and great tour
Went on Tuesday at around 1pm and it wasn't too crowded. Payed RM25 for entrance and tour fee for single the adult. The architect was beautiful and the details of each rooms and the house was well maintained and amazing. The tour guy, Frances, did amazing job on explaining and giving details of the life of the people who lived here and some historical insite of the family. He was friendly and professional, and tour was done in English. (You can get Chinese tour too.) The tour was around 45min, covered all the area in the house. Loved the experience and strongly recommend✨

One of the go-to mansion in Penang
Decided to go here as a last-minute plan. The entry fee was MYR 20. I went there at a good time because they were about to start a guided tour. I joined the tour and let me tell you, it was an extensive one. For me, it was good. The guide told stories, histories and brought us to every corner of the mansion. It was advertised that the tour was only for 45 minutes, but if I recall correctly, the tour was about 1-hour plus. There's an attached temple by the side of the mansion. I wouldn't know about it if it weren't for the guided tour. Going up to the first floor, visitors are required to take off their shoes and leave them at the stairs before getting up. The mansion itself was great. They managed to maintain it after so many years. I definitely love the mansion. I loved how there are stories on how and why the mansion was built in such a way. If you're into historical architecture, definitely should not miss this place.

A must-visit place when in Penang
Decided to visit this place during my last visit to Penang and regretted that I didn't do it before. Arrived just around noon, paid the admission fee and luckily the complimentary English guided tour was started not long later (there's also Chinese guided tour started around the same time). I would recommend to join the guided tour if possible to gain more insights about the mansion and customs applied by the historical occupants. This place has one of the most precious glassware collections in the world, invaluable headpiece, gold handbags and beautiful stained glass.
