Exploring after a business appointment

Decided to make a trip over to see the statue, originally the statue were placed outdoor up high on the mountain after the years with the fundraiser donations from the people a pagoda structure were builded. My appreciation to all. One can now drive all the way up to the main sanctuary point with minimal parking fees of RM3 per vehicle, alternative you can drive half point and take the so call elevator up with a minimal fees of RM6 per person’s two way plus the minimal parking charges too. If one could remember the olden days with the extreme visitors by walking up where visitor could shop and dine along the way up well one could still be able to experience this. We decided to drive half way point as the weather were too hot to walk up and time taken is less in exploring the site that having said if you are in a hurry otherwise the walk is something to explore.

The lights on Chinese New Year are amazing!
We came to see the celebrations of CNY this year and we were not disappointed. Visiting Kek Lok Si is always a pleasure, but even more at this time. You do not need the cable car, there are walkways and I would recommend taking them to get all the impressions. You should take your time to grasp the vibes of this beauty.

    Satisfying trip to the pagoda
A lot things have changed since I last came to Kek Lok Si Temple with my parents. Now it's my turn to come here with my children. We parked near the new tortoise pond although we could have driven up higher. Parking was RM3 for the first 3 hours. Had fun feeding the tortoises with green leafy vege bought at RM2 per stack. We didn't want to take the elevated lift to the Kuan Yin statue. Instead we walked up to the place with the pagoda. We tried to find our way up the pagoda, going in and out of various prayer halls and passing through beautiful floral gardens. We almost gave up at one point after finding ourselves back to square one despite walking all over. Thankfully, we finally found the way hidden on the right side of a huge deity statue. The left side of the statue led to a big souvenir shop and another ticketing counter for the elevated lift. Paid RM2 entry fee per person to go up the Ban Pho Tar pagoda which is 30m high, with an octagonal base and a structure that blends Chinese, Thai and Burmese elements. Be careful when going up the narrow stairs. The view from up there was fabulous! Took lots of photos, then made our way down as more people came up.
