Heritage of The Clan Jetties Floating Chinese Village

There are few Clan Jetties Floating Chinese Village along the coastline and Chew Jetty is the one with most tourists. The area is very close to the mural art. If you are looking at those street art, just swing over to the Jerry, it's only a few hundred meters away. It is a very unique scenic that combines resident home stay with tourism. You will see how people live on these stilted houses alongside the water. A few souvenir shops and restaurants along the pier. Beautiful views and nice breeze at the end of the pier. Do take note when take pictures, there are some people restrict you to take picture of their property. Do be respectful when taking selfie or wefie. Currently some resident house have been upgraded to shop lot for commercial. Most of the resident have been moved out and rent their house for business purpose. This place will soon lose her uniqueness.

An operating living quarters with shops here and there
There are still people/families living here so please refrain taking photos of inside homes as some residents would like to retain their privacy. Also, visitors are only allowed to enter from 9am to 9pm to minimize the inconvenience to the residents. It's a small jetty/area but it can get pretty hot if you go from noon onwards but you can take respite from the heat in the souvenir, food, and dessert shops. The sea (obviously) sits at the end of the jetty and it looks like a good place for sunrise or sunset viewing.

Nice view from the jetty
A nice place to spend a little time looking around. The wooden houses are unique as they are built above the water. Along the walk, many souvenir shops and also food stalls are available there.
