    A must to visit
St, Michaels (St Michels) is a must to visit. There is a payment option to visit the Crypt or the Bell Tower, but a clear day is necessary for the latter to make the most of the city views. The church itself is beautiful and free to enter although a voluntary donation of 2 Euro is requested.

    Come for the Organ
Hamburg offers a wonderful series of organ concerts through the summer. The daily mini-recitals in churches are nice, but the evening series brings out the best in the instruments. While the gold and white of the interior catches the eye, it's the delight of the instruments on the ear which make this a good place to come and listen. On my visit, the organist from the Dom in Cologne was featured. Samuel Barber's "Adagio op. 11" was particularly good.
