   The Durant Dort Carriage Company Headquarters has had automotive leaders and geniuses within its confines. W. C. Durant – creator of General Motors and Chevrolet, and savior of Buick – had his office here. Durant’s partner/friend and creator of Dort Motor Car Company, J. Dallas Dort, also worked in this building. Other notables whose stories are told within the Durant Dort Carriage Co. Headquarters are Louis Chevrolet, David Buick, James Whiting, and Charles Nash.
