Interesting place

We found the place by hazard, and we stopped by. The video worths the visit as it explains a lot of the history of Ceuta and sourroundings. It is interesting, free of price and definitively enjoyable.

    Ancient Ceuta at your hands
No that easy to find, slightly hidden entrance - if in doubt ask one of the taxistas around (when you see them you most likely missed the entrance). And please bring some grasp of the lingo as all explanation are in Spanish. But this should not deter you as it is a gift, not only as it is free. It gives you an excellent insight into ancient Ceuta and the arounds. Particular intriguing and causing awe is the indoor bridge over the excavations of the basilica tardorromano. Let your eyes circle around - they recreated the place three dimensionally !

Well worth a look. One of the more interesting things to do in Ceuta.
An enjoyable and informative walk around underground crypts and buildings. discovered in the 80's during street works this site had been excavated and then a museum built on top. you can see the remains of several buildings and even skeletons in their graves, coffins and items found at the site can also be seen. All information is displayed in Spanish.
